The chavs are apparently looking to complete a quick sale

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22747789 ... act-offer/

Of course they are - "lets get this done quickly in case anyone with half a brain at AFC realises that we are screwing them and they are buying a dud for big money"

This basque c.unt has signed TWENTY FIVE players since he became AFC manager, and I dont think that you can hold even one of them as a major success - seems like him and arteta are learning nothing and are going to continue pissing money away this summer. In 3 years at the club I make it 9 players that he has signed and are already left the club - that is a staggering figure imo. For years now our board and owners have rightfully received loads of stick for insufficient investment in the playing squad, but right now serious questions need to be asked as to why no-one in the board is standing up and stopping this havertz deal - I dont want us to buy rice either but I can at least see why some are blinded to the folly of buying declan rice, but surely there is no-one that watches english football who cannot see what a totally ridiculous and braindead signing havertz would be ?? If we sign havertz then we deserve the serious decline that we will suffer next season

we really are the pikeys of the transfer world...argue and haggle over every dime and in the end ultimately lose out on probably 90% of targets.

Most of the time I would agree with that, BUT rice isnt worth 90m and if we offered them 90m up front, a load of us would be complaining about them over-paying - we cant have it both ways. I argued last January that it was ridiculous to spend huge money on mudryk (partially cos we didnt need a winger), and when the chavs bid more than we were willing to pay, we stepped back and sign Trossard for a fee more in line with what we should be paying for a back up player

yeah that's fair.......i mean i dont value rice up at 90 (havent got 30 years in football) but if they did deem it as part of the plan and just got it done i'd be commending them for at the very least getting it done early. every year it just seems to drag and drag.......i dont work in that business but is there any actual merit in something dragging on...as a fan its hard to see

The whole Rice saga is starting to stink of a 'Well we tried, we offered a club record fee but blah blah blah........' when he signs for someone else for 100m + 10m add-ons.

Rice is the best defensive midfielder in the Premier league and we are crying out for a proper defensive midfielder and have been for nearly 30 years!! He wants to come to us, we're probably 10m or so away from getting him and yet the fucking mongs running our club will go up in £1 increments until someone else come in for him. Big teams, PROPER big teams don't fuck about over 5-10m, things have changed and you can't win the PL or CL buying 2nd or 3rd tier players. If we're struggling to afford our main targets, then bin Havertz and use the money to offer 100m for Rice, 45m for Lavia and 40m for Timber. That takes our squad to a new level with just those three. If we can make a few sales including Partey, we can raise another 100m and buy a top striker as well, then we're cooking on gas!

For those wanting to keep Balogun, go onto You tube and watch all his goals from last season at Reims.......several penalties, most of which were not well taken I might add, quite a few mis-hit shots that the keepers should easily have saved too. He really doesn't look that good imo, I genuinely think Eddie is better at this point in time so I think it's a great call to sell him for 35m+ if we can get it.

Barcelona are optimistic that Gundogan will accept their offer but in the last few hours Arsenal "have been really pushing" to sign the player. [@RogerTorello via @karthikadhaigal]

Arsenal bid for Declan Rice was £75m plus £15m in add-ons. Both fee and add-ons - based on achievements - were spread over five years. It has been rejected out-of-hand. West Ham want more money and a shorter payment plan. More on @TeleFootball

Everyday it's plastered in all the media outlets repetatively that Rice is our top target and we plan to make a record bid for him blah blah blah.
Well fucking well do it, just pay the damn money and let's move on. We had these issues when Wenger was there and we all blamed him but we can see now that he wasn't as bad as thought because he's gone and the same thing is happening.

TeeCee, you think rice is best defensive midfielder in the premier league ?? You drinking during the day buddy ??? He is nowhere near as good as Rodri or casemiro (c.unt  :censored: ) and prior to this past season fabinho was way better than him too - those are 3 names that jump straight at me without putting much thought into it, but yet you claim that he is best defensive midfielder in the league ??
