I'm not a massive fan of Kovacic or anything, but how the fcuk can city get to buy him for 30m whilst we are paying 65m+ for havertz ??? What kind of twisted logic is going on here ? Kovacic is basically an ok player but is at least as good if not better than havertz, and we are paying double ?? Someone shott arteta or edu before this deal goes through ffs

Kovacic is nearly 30, Havertz is 24.

The price for Havertz is apparently 50m plus addons.

I'm confident Havertz will be a good player for us, he is quality, he hasn't been for Chelsea but sometimes a player doesn't work at a particular club.......we know that, look at Bergkamp at Inter, Henry at Juve etc. Not many Gooners moaning they were shit at their previous clubs!

Havertz is literally just a few days older than Eddie (let that one sink in), yet he has 37 caps for Germany, in total he's played

This isn't a one season wonder Pepe, having looked good in a piss poor French league for one year, Havertz has proven quality. He wouldn't have been my first choice but I do think he is a quality addition to our midfield/front line.

Don’t worry TeeCee, we’ll sign him. Arsenal will sign Havertz and Rice just to piss me off, while the chavs sign Nkunku and Caicedo and probably for less money.

I’ve no doubt that Nkunku will score far more goals than Havertz and that Caicedo will be a bigger success than bang average Rice.

I’m gutted. Fuck knows how they work out our transfer plans. As IW8 said, signing Havertz is evidence that Arteta thinks Jesus is good enough as our centre forward.
