ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Fuck Rice. Fuck the transfer window. Fuck the oil cheats
Back to being Banter FC
Give yourself a break lads. The sun is shining. Cricket and tennis season
Rice joins Yann m'Vila and Higuain on the certain signing lists. Different manager, same useless c.unts at the helm
Nobody of any note is coming - this is what CL football is all about. Standing no chance at all before a ball is kicked

This is something that is very hard to understand, because it's nothing new and has been going on long before Wenger, Kroenke, Fiszman, Dein et al. It's been no different in my entire lifetime of supporting the club and my old man would tell you it was always this way.
We lost him last year aged 99, so he could go back a long way. I remember him saying what a good footballer Danny Blanchflower was and that we spent an age trying to sign him from Villa. Apparently it dragged on as the Arsenal manager had to keep going back to the board to ask for more money and then at the death, Tottenham stepped in and bought him, deal done. I think that was the season that he led that lot to the 60/61 double.
With the odd exception...probably signing Alan Ball and later Charlie Nicholas....we've always fucked about low balling and dragging things out. It must seriously piss off the selling club, but also send a signal to the target player that we're not so convinced by him that we'll happily get the deal done.
Following our far better than expected performance last season, this was the time to step up, really invest, get the deals done early and show our intentions to be serious contenders. As it is, we're still the banter club as Rodders might say.
We deserve all we get. Fuck 'em.

John Cross also reporting this, if Worst Ham say no, then now is the time to walk away.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:28 pm|| West Ham braced for Arsenal's third bid for Declan Rice and believe new offer for £100m midfielder is imminent... [Via - @SamiMokbel81_DM].

What's the plan B if we don't get Rice?
That's what I thought, nobody has a scooby.

Not buying that, Strickland Banks was good, but the 'Ill Manors' stuff was superior.
Watching Glasto---Northern Monkeys no Radiohead 1997.
Yes Rice I like £100m or are we mickey mouse
Esta indecisión me molesta

If true - that Declan is determined to be a gunner, that significantly weakens West Ham’s hand.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 8:18 am|| West Ham have admitted for the first time “Man City have come in for Declan Rice” - however - it seems that the player is looking certain to snub any move to the Etihad in favour of crossing London to Arsenal [Via - C & H].

Rice
Havertz
Lavia
Timber
Xhaka out
Significantly stronger first 11 - whatever formation we play and with subs at a good standard too.
Not sure where Nelson is going to get much game time but if he is in £100k a week, doubt he will care
