Doesn’t matter if we spend 100, 200 or 800 million this summer, that right there is our best signing of the window.

Said it already when Pornstein broke the news a while back but massive credit must go to Edu and Arteta for getting this one over the line because I thought there was zero chance he would extend.

The love he gets from the fan base played a huge role too, superb stuff all round.

Whether you think the signings and renewals we’ve made so far are good, bad or indifferent how refreshing is it to see the club on the front foot with these things rather than scrambling around like a bunch of fucking morons on transfer deadline day trying to hoover up the dregs left on the shelves.

90% of our transfer dealings done before pre season officially gets under way, we’re behaving like a proper club again - absolutely superb
