Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Over at KUMB the consensus is that they should spend the first tranche of the Rice money on Harry Maguire.

The delusion levels are so high over there that it is being considered that they should just section the whole forum under the Mental Health Act.

Weeks on end of people telling everyone else how amazing this all is and how it's better than proper football all whislt every game ends 0-0 or 45-0. Cue the usual long distance goals where some bird hits it pathetically badly from about 50 yards out and it rolls painfully slowly towards the 'keeper' who just lets it through their legs. That or the other one which is a vague hoof in the air at about waist height which the 'keeper' either dives under or manages to push into their own net despite absolutely no pressure or anyone near them. It's about as close to proper football as a banana is to a car.

Just watched SSN. No joke there is a campaign from the Aussie women for total pay parity. With a straight face some Aussie player has claimed that women’s football is as popular as men’s football because they sold out their games for the World Cup. Err. You reckon an Aussie women’s side playing at a home World Cup wouldn’t sell out all their games. And that is now justification for total parity with the men.

Add to that, these bints are fudging the numbers to say "attendance" equals "tickets sold" while completely ignoring the fact they give over half the tickets to schools and junior teams for free.....
