Source BBC:

" Brighton have rejected a second Chelsea bid, believed to be about £70m, for midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Ecuador international asked to leave Brighton in January amid interest from Arsenal.
Brighton refused and Caicedo subsequently signed a new contract in March that runs to 2027."
I think we offered something in the £80Million range back in January and they said No to that, so why on earth would they agree to selling at £70 Million. I know the club now have to focus on selling some players / get rid of the deadwood, but why not tell Brighton our top offer in advance and as soon as we've dumped the deadwood... sign the cheque, I think he would be an Awesome signing for us. To have both him and Rice in the midfield would be unbelievable. So sell Partey for £45 - £50 Million and offer them Lakonga and some cash!

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
The club are also no longer keen on selling the player this summer.
Looking likely he stays, as per @Fentuo_.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I have been informed by a totally unreliable source (my son reading Twitter) that the Footballer that had allegations of xxxx against him has now been cleared of all charges. He is now joining the Team on Tour.
Sorry John, had to take that word out. Just in case.

Bayern Munich are open to sell Kimmich or Goretzka.
If we are not all over this, tired of this Caicedo saga.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I've said on here before that the Caicedo thing makes no sense to me. We offered something like 85m in January, which would have smashed our transfer record, but haven't been back since the season end. Obviously we couldn't get Rice in January and that's who we were intent on getting when this window opened, but would we have bought Rice if we'd got Caicedo in January?
It just seems odd that we were happy to pay that much for him in Jan but have shown no interest since. I've said here more tahn once that he's young and I haven't seen a lot of him, but from what I've seen, he looks like the real deal. I'd have taken him over Rice, but both would transform us.
I see from the post above that it looks like Partey might be staying, which is a shame imo. We can get 40m each for him and Balogun and then go after Caicedo. The defence is sorted and I can't see Arteta buying the CF that so many of us think we need, so go after Caicedo. At the very least it will drive up the price that the chavs have to pay. In fact, I'd be making spurious offers even if we don't intend buying him, just to push the fee up.

He's on radar of Villarreal, Benfica, Porto, Sporting & PL clubs. Informal discussions already happened.
