Napoli remain keen on signing Stuttgart defender Dinos Mavropanos. 🇬🇷

As exclusively revealed, Arsenal stand to profit from a sell-on clause inserted in the deal.

Several Premier League clubs monitoring the Greek international's situation.

Reading some of the comments posted on here in the last couple of days, I'm surprised that those members haven't been posting on my Ramsdale thread.

He isn't good enough and wasn't good enough before his collapse in the last quarter of the season. Not throwing 'em in your own net does not mean you're good enough. His positioning is poor, his decision making poor, his dealing with crosses/corners worse than poor, he concedes goals where too often you wonder if he could have done better and he's an accident waiting to happen with the ball at his feet. It amazes me that plenty of people seem to rate him (although that's changing). I also can't stand the chaotic arm waving and hollering and shouting....he's like Pickford, but not as good....and I'm no fan of Pickford either.

Ramsdale is a reaction shot stopper and makes the odd worldy, but that doesn't excuse the flaws and you can't afford to carry a potential liability when you are trying to compete for the big prizes. A reliable keeper is paramount.

I don't know enough about Raya to comment. Only see clips on MOTD. If we buy him he needs to be top notch, because we need to be buying a new No. 1.

C'mon Arsenal FFS start clearing out some of the unwanted.

Talks of £5m for some American no one's heard of aren't really raising funds are they. Should've taken the £35m offered for Balogan rather than try to play hard ball and stick a £50m price on his head. Pepe, what a waste of time and money. La Konga, AMN, Holding, Eddie - just take whatever anyone is stupid enough to offer otherwise they're just gonna be wage drains.

Two contradictory articles on Daily Mail website

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... eeper.html

This article states that last season ramsdale made more errors leading to shots on goals than any other player in the league, and that Raya has superior distribution with the ball at his feet

This article however suggests that we would be buying Raya to be number 2 keeper to ramsdale and to play domestic cups

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... r-40m.html

Why the fcuk would you buy a better player to have him as back up to an inferior player ? Plus why would you spend huge money doing so ? As I said previously, I am sceptical about this link to Raya, but can I ask to club to please not buy Raya unless he is going to be first choice cos to buy him as number 2 keeper makes us look stupid imo

🚨 Arsenal are currently discussing a deal for Ajax versatile midfielder Mohamed Kudus, agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has been in London this week talking to both Arsenal and Chelsea. The player ideally would like the Arsenal move with the club active in negotiations now. #AFC

Folarin Balogun has asked Arsenal to drop their asking price. He's already said he won't go out on loan. Inter felt £45m was too high and have now bid for West Ham's Gianluca Scamacca. They haven't entirely ruled out signing Balogun, though.🔴

Oh yeah, of course, you and one or two others thought he was Banks, Shilton, Schmeichel and Buffon rolled into one.

Might be time to keep your head down on this one. He's not good enough mate.

Understand David Raya has reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal on personal terms 🚨🔴⚪️ #AFC

Brentford have been informed by player side that he wants to join Arsenal — and talks between clubs over formula/price are now expected to accelerate.

🚨 @JacobsBen on Folarin Balogun:

- #Balogun feels 'priced out' of transfer
- 22yo has 'asked' #AFC to 'drop asking price'
- Club thinks £50m valuation 'more than fair'
- 'Keep an eye on West Ham'
- Several PL clubs have 'enquired'

Inter bidding for Scamacca means West Ham may have a desperate need for Eddie or Balogun

Happy days :barscarf:

Raya I don’t quite get, good keeper, possibly top notch but £40m which should be spent elsewhere as a priority in my opinion.

After upgrading Ramsdale, Gabriel has to be next.

He is a good out and out defender ( would have been amazing In the days of being able to tackle from behind ) but prone to the odd brain fart.

Our best centre back arguably was Tony Adams, who was also prone to cock ups …..in 89 season, he miscues at OT for a catastrophic og ( Lukic didn’t help ) and hauled down Dean Saunders for a pen in the 2-1 home defeat that looked like we had thrown the title away.

Not saying Gabriel is on a par with Adams, just pointing out that all players make errors ( Henry misses in the CL when one on one, Bergkamp missed pen v Mancs in the FA cup semi final last minute as examples )
