Kai Havertz

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I know we're only 3 games into the season but I still don't get what this bloke can offer us. It's like we have been playing with 10 men.
Please would someone list any qualities this player has that I am not seeing: (I know he can speak 3 languages but that don't count).

I used to think that simply not being Granit Xhaka was enough...I mean, who could possibly be worse?!

I just hope we are All Wrong and that he does indeed prove a worthy signing.

My mate saw this post and suggested to me that Kai's ability to make himself invisible when he puts on a red & white shirt must be top of the list. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Arteta on Kai Havertz: "I tell you what I feel about him. I love him and I see his qualities every day in training.” 🇩🇪

Via @SamJDean.

He’s the new ‘chosen one.’

Okay, fair enough, but when are we going to see those "Qualities" on the Pitch in an Actual game? :proudtosay:

Very worrying, because the deeper he digs in, the harder it will be for him to swallow and admit to a fuck up.

This shows not only a stubborn arrogance, but a high level of inexperience. Far better to be careful and circumspect with your words. Just say the boy is performing well in training, that he’s still in an early settling in period and that he’s done as asked on the pitch. No need to go over the top in either direction.

Absolute passenger apart from giving the ball away for their goal and fcking up our best chance when harder not to score.

We have 10 men out there with this clown on the pitch.

Absolute dud

65m unbelievable.

And lucky not to pick up a yellow for his tackle on Anthony

We would probably be better if he were sent off. He offers nothing.

Edit to add and like xhaka seems to be a liability too, when he gets it slows it all up takes to long, number of occasions be was In space and was the ball but saliba, gabi and rice ignored him. Don't blame them tbh.
