Unlike Partey and Xhaka he has yet to do something so daft that has cost us the game - no gormless winding up of the crowd or opposition, no pathetic tackles, no red cards. A low bar maybe but for anyone who'd prefer Clive, then bear that in mind!

We've won 3 and drawn 1 with him in the team

Am I clutching at straws? Very probably :D
2 of the games we won “with him in the team” we scored the winning goals after he had been subbed

So far, he is living up to his pre season American tour hype, where he scored a zero in the volley shoot out competition.

Maybe a couple of games coming on as a sub might benefit him ?j
I want him to do well, so far, I’m not seeing much of anything …..the young Utd sub,Hojland came on for his debut and at 6”3 the same as Havertz at least looked a physical presence and a handful for our defence.

True. Havertz is the antithesis of the myth that tall equals strong. He seems extremely lightweight and has no physical presence and does not dominate anyone. Their lad came on and got stuck in, wrestling and physically engaging our defenders.

I agree too that maybe bringing him on as a sub might lift his game or at least maybe get something from him performance wise in the moment.

Haventz is shite, like every ex chelsea c unt we’ve bought off that no marque load of spunk buckets,3 shite years at chelsea to bed in have proved he’s dogshit,he’ll never be anything other than average,Expensive average at that.

I’m surprised he didn’t pull his hamstring after his air shot against united,I think I’d go as far as to say I’d have Xhaka over him

Well we’re all wondering when the true Haventz will turn up,but I fear this is the true German number 9,he really just might be fucking useless, the man is a charlatan and fraud

(And the wanker reminds me of Kurtan Mucklowe from This Country)

Interesting that you say that IW8, because I’ve wondered about the way he looks. I know that the poor sod can’t help his facial features, but it’s almost the look behind those features, if you know what I mean. He looks to be totally devoid of confidence and that he doesn’t want to be out there, as though his heart isn’t in it.

Whether that’s because he’s at the Arsenal or if he just has a weakness of character, I don’t know. I suspect the latter, but don’t want to be too hard on him. Bottom line, he didn’t sign himself and he doesn’t pick himself. The buck stops with Arteta.

I’d actually say that Pepe was better,he scored goals after a few weeks in the league,as lazy and uninterested as he looked, but Haventz has no excuses,3 years with Chelsea and many more games, strangely Arteta seemed to think he couldn’t get a tune out of Pepe so binned him,but then buys the German lamppost, :banghead:

I think the thing that I can’t get over with Havertz is how much we spent on him.
£65 million!! It is unbelievable. We could have got a decent striker for that money.

£65 million for Havertz has me wondering what our scouting structure is like and whether Arteta is up to the job.
Because even if there is a slight improvement with him I fail to see what he brings to the team.

So far a downgrade on Xhaka which is extraordinary

Nope. Not even close.

This guy might be useless. But he is not so stupid as to cost us games and even blow a league title the fuck outa the water through his own retardation. Next fucker says he's as bad as or worse than Lobotomy Clive will be getting a "week off" courtesy of The Ban Hammer! :box:

Looks like this is becoming the popcorn thread. I wonder what the equivalent would have been in the 90s.

Alan Smith maybe, when he stopped scoring?

Not fair on smudger at least he had given sterling service. I'm too young to know any flack he got but know and recall him contributing.

John jensen perhaps? I was there.

Scored in a final once rest of his career very meh and we expected more? But then i dont think anyone has any expectations of havertz as we have all seen enough to judge.

Thing is I wouldn't have such an issue if he a, wasn't shoehorned in and disrupting everything, b, wasn't getting game time ahead of the likes of esr.

Were he introduced off the bench gradually I'd have more patience...to stick him in thr first xi change everything to do so is ok if the player is a star and has an instant impact, nothing suggests or suggested he would.

Likewise I'd be ok with changing things around if the player coming in had shown ability before and had an impact as ESR has for example.

But to parachute this gormless dud in is really irritating.

I know it's not his fault it's the manager for signing mad playing him, but I just don't like anything about him ,irrationally, even his funny appearance and the attitude or lack of he gives off wind me up.

Much as ozil did I guess for many on here I guess commenting on his feldman looks and perceived lack of effort, not that I was one of them.
