VAR

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

VAR didn’t get it wrong - the 2 officials Darran England and Dan Cook fucked it up.

I wish media etc would stop saying VAR error, it wasn’t it was those 2 clowns 🤡
Name them, shame them, hold them accountable ….

Incompetent or bent, either way they need to lose their job
They've been stood down from the next round of fixtures, problem solved. They'll be back fixing the results of games the following weekend though so all ok :barscarf:

As long as humans are involved in making decisions where technology should be used, there will be errors.

Look at Cricket and Tennis, all the relevant graphics are computer generated. You rarely see errors in these games. Why can football not using artificial intelligence draw the lines for the officials in Stockley park. Would save on delays too.

That's like saying "It's okay we've taken the razor sharp machete off of CrazyCunt Carl.... He has been a naughty boy, we will speak with him very sternly then give the machete back to him for Halloween"

It is an automated system for offsides in the champions league/Europa. Our bunch of legends didn't adopt it though because they obviously know best

No surprise there! If you look at cricket, its a much more complex game. Yet despite this LBW technology for example rarely causes any controversies.

I have absolutely no confidence in any refereeing decisions after listening to that crap.
They need to scrap VAR until they get some people in who are more competent.

Total disgrace - Liverpool fans won’t let this go either

Here's the audio and it is absolutely horrendous. Appalling in its incompetence.

https://www.premierleague.com/news/3718057

A couple of things strike. Firstly, there are too many voices and too much fucking chatter. One voice at a time is needed. The fucking VAR referee is an absolute fucking imbecile. He clearly isn't watching the game or paying any attention or even worse, if he is, he's a fucking idiot and even then, it shows how little attention they actually pay. They aren't concentrating enough because they've had years of hiding behind incompetence with zero accountability. Then, it's almost embarrassing that the video operator knows what's happened and has to explain to the fucking VAR referee. That's just fucking terrible in its incompetence. This isn't just sit out a game, this is sackable for gross misconduct, even down to not knowing that the game can be stopped to rectify an error. We have people involved in officiating the game who don't understand the laws of the game. Fucking hell.
And also, what the fuck does that fucking VAR ref actually do? Seems to just shout out stuff down a microphone whilst sitting next to a video operator who knows how the technology works. Jesus fucking Christ, this whole system needs suspending because it clearly isn't fit for purpose. One last point, how the fuck did that fat cúnt last season not draw lines if someone else does it? Did he not ask for the line to be drawn? Fuck me, it's gross misconduct or match-fixing. No middle ground.

Absolutely frightening that these officials have so much power to decide a match result

Ooh I can’t say stop ✋🏼 cos they have restarted….
At no point was “ goal good “ stated, rather check complete etc , farcical.

And yes Perry far too much chatter that just makes it more difficult to decode the actual outcome

Damning that effectively the admin guy spotted the error and not the VAR. Took the VAR three reminders to realise the error and then he repeatedly shut down the operator preventing the goal being awarded and the whole issue rectified. Sounded pretty bent to me. No other explanation that someone can make a grave error and then refuse point blank to rectify it.

Holy Fuck, just listened to that - They Do Not Have a Fucking Scooby... Unless DullardCUNTS.

Thing is they may have been "stood down" for the week-end or whatever, but they will soon be back in VAR etc.... They should be Sacked and NEVER be employed again.

🚨 Klopp: “I think the only outcome for Tottenham-Liverpool game should be a replay”.

“It probably won't happen. I think it is so unprecedented it didn't happen before”.

🚨 The Premier League could decide to replay Tottenham Hotspur's game with Liverpool - if an appointed commission rules that the match officials breached the Laws of the game when it came to ruling out Luis Diaz's goal.

Only the Victims could get this to the point of a replayed game being even considered. Imagine if it was us....we'd have the media and the pundits telling us that we're whingeing too much and that these mistakes even themselves out over a season...except they don't.

Still, I'm backing the scousers on this one.
