In all seriousness if Arteta HAS to play Havertz I would prefer to see him upfront than in the middle. I reckon he would be more effective than EddieTeeCee wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 10:50 amI'm sure Arteta has something completely unpredictable planned for City........something that will leave Pep totally outfoxed. I reckon..
We'll play Zinchenko as an inverted left back, roaming into midfield all the time leaving 3 at the back and wide gaps on our left.....
Up front we'll have.....wait for it, fucking genius this is........Our blockbuster German signing Kai Havoc as a false 9.....hee hee hee, Pep will never suspect this....
On the right he'll play ex-City talisman Jesus, who will run their LB ragged
On the LW will be Leo Bossard, top man......
In the centre, a double pivot of Biggus Deccus and Partey with Captain Ode
At the back, Benny 'Back pass' White, Saliba, Gabriel and Oleks 'AWOL' Zinchenko
Finished off with our Raya sunshine in goal
Pep is going to be so pissed at Tets pulling this one off, he won't see this coming!!.........

Martinellis oot. Got no show with Trossard on the left v grease lightning Walker. Fkn play ESR to run at these cnuts. Nelson is bang avg, like Eddie. If Saka unfit were fooked on the right. Vieira to replace Saka? Joke! So overall without Martinelli and Saka it should be a comprehensive dicking by al Citeh.

We’ve significantly weakened the squad this summer gone. Havertz a massive joke signing.

Re: THE Arsenal vs Man City H Sun Oct 8th 16:30. Prem.
I posted a list of teams that had taken points from them since we did after we got trounced again last season. Haven't checked against McD,'s list but looks about right. The likes of Palace and Wolves have beaten them twice each since then and even teams now in the Championship have gritted a point or two outDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 2:20 pmIf this is accurate, McTwattermcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 10:49 amPremier League points vs Man City since Arsenal last earned one:

Our record against them is almost as embarrassing as our European record and if Legohead can't muster a point against these c.unts this time it's clear he never will.

Last season was an anomaly. So many people said that we would be even better this season. I, along with many others, never believed that. We were right.Last season was as good as it's ever going to get under Arteta.....he needed a striker, he never bought one......he needs to be fired at the end of the season.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 6:57 amSince we last took a point off them well over 20 clubs have done that and at least 10 have beaten them. Some of those teams are currently in the Championship
But our manager won't find away. We'll be as wide open as we were up there. Haaland who barely had a kick against Wolves will have Gabriel looking like Bambi on Ice again and they'll do us big style
We're going backwards this season no doubt about it
1-3 tomorrow...or 4.

I’ve never left the ground at half time. Today could be the day.

Anyone who doesn’t see us losing this game by at least two goals is deluded.
We will start brightly, probably create one of two chances that go begging, then get caught with a sucker punch goal, followed by another late in the game when we are chasing it.
A half fit Saka who’ll start but then go off injured, wasteful strikers, and Odegaard going missing. If we score, it will be through a penalty rather than anything we’ve actually created ourselves.
You can write the script now. It’s been the same for the past 10 years

If we score I'll be happy. Not happy with Havit & Vrra in the squad. What other team in the EPL has NO centre forward ?. To win this we need them to have a couple sent of early in the game.

Loving the positivity here..
Actually think we'll draw this, mainly because they're missing Rodri and KDB, 2-2 would be my guess.
Defeat would completely deflate our season so we need to avoid this.

Starting to agree mate to be honest. Was delighted with the Rice and Timber signings, but Havertz and Raya have just served to cause controversy and disrupt the team rhythm, as has Vieira somehow becoming a key choice now. He chose to let Balogun go and has left himself with Eddie and Jesus to play a dual PL CL season and they just ain't up to it . Blindingly obvious to all but him seeminglyReno Gooner wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 8:20 pmLast season was an anomaly. So many people said that we would be even better this season. I have tried to remain upbeat in the hope he was creating something new, but the Lens defeat was as classic Wenger as it gets, and his record against Pep is as laughable as Wenger's against Maureen. If a manager can't work out another in a dozen or so games, it's clear something is missing from their make up and that of their team
The other thing I've been waiting to see after almost 4 years is some steely resolve - to march into big games with a sense of pomp and arrogance like our great teams of the past. That performance against Lens brought back awful memories that made me detest Wenger. Home crowd makes a racket, limited team puts us under physical pressure and we folded like a deck of cards. They were absolutely shit as well - going into their derby match against Lille tonight 1 point above the drop zone

Hoping beyond hope we do Not Lose this.
The scum seem to be having the rub of the green in all they do; at least for the moment which only adds to the frustration. Having bought 2 very decent players (*) Timber and Rice - I truly hoped we would / could kick on to a better level, but for me we have Regressed - Okay so Timber is non-existent till he recovers and although Rice has often been our Best player, we have lost that Attacking Threat and the ability to defend that was almost a trade mark of our game for much of last season - the giving away of 2 soft and unnecessary goals against the Swamp Dwellers is prime evidence of that.
(*) Forget Klive and the managers Every Effort to give him confidence and play (giving him the penalty to take was was embarrassing) Unless there is a Monumental shift in his playing he is a Willian-esque and catastrophic failure.
So, seeing as we are anything but good at the moment, I'd take us Not Losing...A win would be a fucking Miracle... BUT Miracles Do Happen.

I’m still not convinced we will get a point BUT you make a valid point about City being weakened. If we don’t get at least a draw today then we might as well get rid of Arteta now because the reality is he won’t get a better chance than today.

Well... Yes and No... Martinelli being out and Saka - Don't know if he will play or not, But is nowhere near at 50% - so whilst they have 2 Big players missing so do we... and then of course there is Timber who would have(I hope) been Immense as a LB. I am not disagreeing with you, but they have a weakened side as do we.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 11:44 amI’m still not convinced we will get a point BUT you make a valid point about City being weakened.
