Yes, it's called pressing and we always struggle when teams press hard against us, we end up going backwards a lot......like today. Doesn't help that no-one in a red shirt can pass the ball of course.
Our players love to have time on the ball and we don't have a second today. Most teams pressing like that run out of steam so maybe we can get something in the last 30 mins unless Arteta has a masterplan.

Near half time they passed a ball into midfield to a chav player when rice was maybe 10 yards away from him - instead of going to press the chav player, rice turned and ran back towards his own goals and allowed the chav player to turn and run at us, and that to me is a failing on rice cos he prefers to intercept and doesnt like to mark anyone.
Go back and watch the zinchenko booking again - ball passed to mudryk and white stands 5 yards off him and allows him to turn and drive inside where zinchenko fouls him. Contrast that to what their players are doing when we get the ball cos they are right on us - it is guts and desire and we are a disgrace

Saka is getting nothing from Odegaard and there is nothing to aim at in the middle so he goes back to White who finds Saliba who goes across to Gabriel and he finds Zinchenko who gives the ball away
