It's textbook abuse and brainwashing. Make sure you don't target the same group too many times, make sure your corruption or abuse of power benefits a few different groups every now and again, so enough people can say there's no problem and that everyone else is paranoid and that way, you'll never get the groundswell of support for enough people to rise up against it. Political systems have been doing this since time began and then just do nothing but sit back and let others decide the continually wronged ones are mad and paranoid whilst the ones in positions of power carry on with their dirty, evil ways.IW8Goalmachine wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:05 amThe corruption is blatant. There needs to be a mass protest about it but that will never happen. So you either have to get used to it or just turn off from football

Is it much of a stretch to think that in a sport worth billions and with clubs owned by corrupt nation states who are desperately trying to sports wash their appalling human rights atrocities, that an official on 50 grand a year would be approached and either bought or compromised into making favourable decisions for certain clubs?
You think these people wouldn’t go to every length imaginable to make these clubs a success? That they wouldn’t try to find out if an official was in some kind of financial trouble or had a seriously ill family member who needed to go to the states for hugely expensive specialist treatment and that they wouldn’t lean in to that.
We can get you the 250 grand for your daughters operation in return for some favourable decisions or we’ve found out you’ve been having an affair and we’ll destroy your life unless you’re in our pocket. It would be naive to think that wasn’t a possibility considering what we’re seeing.
And the absolute completely bat shit mental thing of it all is that these officials are actually double jobbing out in Saudi and Dubai doing games already. So they’re getting “legit” money from these states already as things stand, the optics of which are appalling.
Do you think it’s too far fetched that when an official is sitting in his hotel in Saudi or Dubai the night before doing a game that that he couldn’t be approached and bought?
Because I fucking well don’t. The fact they’re double jobbing doing games out there at the moment is an appalling look that wouldn’t be tolerated in any other business in the world.
It’s wide open for corruption and from what I’m seeing week in week out that’s exactly what’s going on.

It’s also hard to ignore that, apart from that one poor non-offside in the Manchester derby, it does seem that Man City have benefited massively in the last 2-3 seasons from a whole load of appalling decisions both directly in their favour in their own games, as well as multiple calls going against each of their rivals in random matches. Have not paid much attention to Newcastle previously, but will certainly be doing so from now on.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:56 amIs it much of a stretch to think that in a sport worth billions and with clubs owned by corrupt nation states who are desperately trying to sports wash their appalling human rights atrocities, that an official on 50 grand a year would be approached and either bought or compromised into making favourable decisions for certain clubs?

That's exactly how organised crime has worked for years. It's how the bookies have made money in every sport around the world since sport made money. Get your hooks into someone who has influence and a hidden secret- gambling debts, affairs, drug issues- and then hold them to ransome until you keep getting what you want. It's happened in cricket, boxing, tennis, athletics, snooker, rugby, everything. There's no reason to believe it doesn't happen all the time in football. There's no point going after the players these days because they are paid so much money and have limited impact. Go after the officials because they hold absolute power for 90 minutes every game. Nowadays, the VAR ones have even more power and far less public accountability. They've got them all in so deep and they all know because that's what they're like, a bunch of old mates on the take and know full well that if one goes public, they're all going to prison or end up dead. There is a fix on here and has been for years. It used to be Asian betting syndicates but now it's a mixture middle Eastern nations and drug cartels. I'm absolutely sure of it.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:56 amIs it much of a stretch to think that in a sport worth billions and with clubs owned by corrupt nation states who are desperately trying to sports wash their appalling human rights atrocities, that an official on 50 grand a year would be approached and either bought or compromised into making favourable decisions for certain clubs?

Funny you should bring that up Cameron because I was racking my brains last night to try and come up with any time city got fucked over by the officials/VAR and that offside goal at Old Trafford was the only one I could think of too.
Even with all their might they couldn’t over come the most corrupt football ground in world football it seems!
Off the top of my head in just this season alone, we’ve had the hash as fuck red card for Tomi for the 7 second throw in and brushing the shoulder of the palace player - contrast that with Donkey Dan kicking all around him with impunity last night
Martinelli’s goal chalked off for offside at Goodison when the Everton player booted it down the field to him.
Kovacic escaping red at the emirates for the shocking tackle on Odegaard and then escaping again 5 minutes later for fouling Rice right under the nose of the referee.
Then the Bruno forearm smash last night followed by all 3 cluster fuck parts of their “goal” in the second half.
So all that bullshit in just 11 fucking games
Still these things even themselves out over the course of a season

I’d invite Webb to the training ground to discuss the decisions we have had. Then Khashoggi him.

When you think of the dozens of rough/violent tackles that Saka, Odegard, Martinelli etc have been on the receiving end of - usually punishable with a yellow card after about four of them. And then that Tomiyasu red card. Something ain’t right there!rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 12:44 pmFunny you should bring that up Cameron because I was racking my brains last night to try and come up with any time city got fucked over by the officials/VAR and that offside goal at Old Trafford was the only one I could think of too.

Arsenal Football Club wholeheartedly supports Mikel Arteta’s post-match comments after yet more unacceptable refereeing and VAR errors on Saturday evening.
We’d also like to acknowledge the huge effort and performance from our players and travelling supporters at St James’ Park.
The Premier League is the best league in the world with the best players, coaches and supporters, all of whom deserve better. PGMOL urgently needs to address the standard of officiating and focus on action which moves us all on from retrospective analysis, attempted explanations and apologies.
We support the ongoing efforts of Chief Refereeing Officer, Howard Webb and would welcome working together to achieve the world-class officiating standards our league demands.

The stuff about VAR was a load of bollocks (same as motd and sky etc) but thought he was spot on re Havertz and Raya. He’s not saying anything different to what’s been said on here for weeks but it’s interesting to see Arteta getting called out on the signings in the media so blatantlyPerryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 8:15 amThe usual shit from that cûnt McNulty. No mention of the elbow to the face. All a bit of a laugh that the VAR decision was wrong. No mention of why Arteta and we feel so wronged. The usual anti-Arsenal shit from a bitter cûnt that used to work for the bindipper Echo and once wrote about how he dislikes Arsenal because he had worked on a Liverpool double winners 1989 issue only for us to reduce it all to nothing in the last seconds of that season. I remember the prick used to use his reports and column to praise Wanker every week and slag off the supporters, revelling in our lack of progrgess. He's a complete cûnt. Like all the BBC lot. Fuck him.wibble wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 8:01 amArticle on Bbc today with a lot of scrutiny about the signings of Raya and Havertz:

Finally the club have grown a pair of bollocks with that statement after years of having their pants pulled down by officials.
It should have come out after the “forgetting” the lines debacle but better late than never.

This is the UselessCUNT who was in charge of VAR yesterday... The exact same person who reffed the game between Arsenal v the Oily Arab Beheaders last season ( 0 - 0 ) when Arsenal were denied Two Stonewall penalties...Also when MOTD and numerous other Pundits accused him of "Losing control of the game".
Anyone with a Printer can print off an image and throw darts at it... Nice bit of Voodooistic violence just might finish theCunt off.
