Well, it's where the chavs played him and when we bought him after 3 yrs of failure, plenty of people were saying that it wasn't his proper position and a forward centre mid was. We've played him in that apparent proper position and he's been abysmal, so it would be interesting to see him up front. If he's equally crap[ there (which he would be, as he was at the chavs), then we'll know once and for all that Arteta needs to get rid of him. Frankly, we already know it.

Raya, Havertz and Nketiah starting in games for us, might as well give Gunnersaurus a go

This is what really pisses me off. Arteta has had 4 years to do exactly what he's wanted and has been backed with hundreds of millions and yet we're starting with those three in the team. Fucking inexcusable.
As SteveO said the other day, despite the financial support El Basque has had and the freedom to organise and arrange things exactly as he pleases, we're no further on than when Wenger was stinking the place out. Anything less than top 3 (really ought to be top 2), a semi final CL place and at least the same in the FA Cup and Arteta needs to go.

By the way, I should have added Jorginho and Vieira as other examples of blokes who shouldn't be at the club, let alone starting!!

I had no problem in upgrading on Ramsdale but it's obvious Raya Is a downgrade and only Arteta's arrogance is keeping him in the side. As for Havertz, he's worse than shit, just a pointless player offering nothing and yet still getting gametime because Arteta is too much of an ego maniac to admit he threw 65 million down the drain. As for Nketiah, even as a squad player it is the height of embarrassment and for him to be wearing 14 aswell, it's like a parallel universe.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 11:58 amThis is what really pisses me off. Funny you mention jorginho Retro...even this useless scummer can see it...Tim Sherwood has slammed Jorginho for the performances he is putting up in Arsenal colours by claiming that he ‘slows the game down’ for Mikel Arteta’s side.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 12:06 pmRetro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 11:58 amThis is what really pisses me off. Excellent article on Arteta, Rayas and Havertz....."Do no harm". Too late for that.
Most sickening line in the article is that Havertz is on 300k per week. It is almost incomprehensible. Wtf was Arteta thinking????

He can see it.....but what's he going to do? Like Wenger did on countless occasions, he has made a massive mistake, he has grossly overpaid for a player we never needed in the first place. A player who is on 300k per week. So now like Wenger, his ego being much more important than the welfare of the club, he'll continue to play him. It should cost Arteta his job, it won't, but it should.Redarmy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 1:34 pmFunny you mention jorginho Retro...even this useless scummer can see it...Tim Sherwood has slammed Jorginho for the performances he is putting up in Arsenal colours by claiming that he ‘slows the game down’ for Mikel Arteta’s side.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 12:06 pmRetro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 11:58 amThis is what really pisses me off. I have to concur with the above posts:
That means Havertz is on £1.2 (Fucking) MILLION a Month!!! I don't know about anyone else but one would think he would at least make more of an effort for that kind of Wedge...
Raya has demonstrated that he IS Definitely a Downgrade when compared to Rambo and (again) how Arteta cannot see and / or simply admit to this and re-instate Rambo. Another Major downside of him choosing Raya ( aka: El Pug) ahead of Rambo is that he has Totally "Crushed" Rambo's confidence; you could see it in the game against the shammers, Rambo (even allowing for his mistakes ) always had a certain Ebullience and Cheekiness about him which though some criticised was a part of the Unity & Solidity of the defence. , Rambo (for me) was very much an integral part of the defence and attack; his distribution is far better than El Pugs. His positioning and command of the box too.
Arteta by continuing to press on with these two signings is not only showing his inability to admit to mistakes (and everyone makes them!) but really is causing much concern and annoyance with the fans and so seriously denting any confidence we may have had in him and
the so-called and much touted 'Process' is beginning to show definite signs of the wheels coming off.
We have Rice (who has been exceptional and without whom we would be mid table) and yet we are worse than last season,; at least in our flair and confidence.

Well yes thats the conclusion putting his ego first to the detriment of the team and club....Reno Gooner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:01 pmHe can see it.....but what's he going to do? Exactly Red. Reno is bang on, Arteta can see it, but his ego driven, stubborn arrogance can't accept that he's made a mistake. A failure to accept being wrong is the biggest of all flaws and ultimately sinks both the individual, but sadly also those around them. I've seen it up close in business and it's fucking toxic.
Mkll is also just like his mentor in that he has favourites, who are no doubt "yes men". What else can explain his love for Xhaka, who he couldn't wait to hug at the end of the game. Wenger was exactly the same with Theo (it's beyond reason how he endured as long as he did at the club, often ruining the opportunity for much better players) and the vastly overrated Ramsey, amongst others. If you were a good boy who constantly looked up to Uncle Arsene, then you were in the team. Mkll is exactly the same with Jorginho, Havertz, Vieira, Eddie etc.
To make matters even worse, we've got no chance of being shot of Havertz for the duration of his career, because even if Arteta were to accept that he got it wrong, Havertz won't agree to a transfer, because no one else would pay him even a third of what we've insanely agreed to give him. Absolute fucking lunacy.
