ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not sure about this 1,he's 28 not really the age profile we've targeted in the last few seasons
Tru Dat! :high5: ... Also buying any player from the Prem is Well Expensive, so I'm sure there are plenty of Better alternatives from abroad that are much cheaper.

You did indeed Bob and I seem to remember agreeing. been impressed with him since he turned up at Fulham. I also rate Douglas Luiz very highly, but I doubt we could get him now.

We need a quality centre mid and either of these would fit the bill. unfortunately, the rumours about Kalvin Phillips are rearing their head again. :worried: :worried:

I don't think it would do any harm at all to add a more experienced player. In fact, it would help no end imo.

28 is hardly over the hill and a quality player should comfortably have 4 good years left in him.

Interesting fact: Although born in Torquay and lived there most of the time Agatha Christie was a Gooner, after attending a private Banquet at Buckingham Palace with the (then) Queen - Queen Mother (who was also a Gooner - and then her Daughter Elizabeth) she suddenly took an avid interest in Football particularly Arsenal Fc. :proudtosay:

You're all as daft as a brush but you made me smile. :D

On to today's business...This morning I read Ruud Gullit names the Eredivisie striker who would be 'perfect' for Arsenal.
Santiago Gimenez.

I don't know anything about him so had a look on youtube and he looks ok. He'd probably be within our price range too.

What interest has Gullit got in him ? How much would he gain from a transfer ?

That money will be very helpful come January.

🇵🇹 Villarreal are interested in Arsenal defender Cedric Soares.

#AFC are open to letting the experienced right back leave in January — his current contract expires in June 2024.

Well he has made his solitary appearance, so why not.

To be fair, he played his part in our goal, but is never going to be a first team player is he ?
