Brentford in total free fall. No way they allow Toney leave with relegation a real possibility despite the presence of the skid mark 3 this season

My enthusiasm for the transfer window coming is waning severely
| Arsenal have REJECTED an initial approach from Crystal Palace for Eddie Nketiah, according to @SamiMokbel81_DM.

Are you surprised Mc ??

El basque will try to deflect his refusal to bring in a striker by pointing to unavailable players in defence, but to me that is just bu!!shit - his loyalty to jesus is THE major stumbling block and will cost us
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Trouble is Augie, the whole team formation is fucked. We have 3 defenders, Zinchenko is ill disciplined, goes walkabout and can't defend. Rice sits in front of the defence, but that takes away from his ability to push forwards. And then we have five attacking players from a choice of many, but without a central point of attack. Diet Pep is trying to be like Full Fat Pep from a few seasons ago, but Pep decided that a big strong central striker was the way to go.augie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 8:14 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 7:37 pmMy enthusiasm for the transfer window coming is waning severely

Are you surprised Mc ??I have said it for a long time now, jesus is el basque's man and having nketieh as his only other striker removes all pressure on el basque to drop jesus. If he brings in toney or osimhen then without doubt they will be the number 1 striker, so diet pep will either have to drop jesus or one of our wingers, and I certainly dont see him dropping his citeeh bum chum - there is a possibility that he would drop martinelli and granted his performances this season have dropped well off, however he is still with his pace and directness a far better option on the wing than jesus in my opinion.

As you say Diet Pep's arrogance will continually cost us.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
BBC:
Arsenal are keen on Napoli's 25-year-old Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, Bayer Leverkusen's 23-year-old Nigeria forward Victor Boniface and Inter Milan's Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez, 26, as alternatives to Brentford's 27-year-old England striker Ivan Toney.
"Keen on" ??? What as in "Oooh! Look he's interesting, but we can't afford him; besides we've got Eddie."
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is only willing to let striker Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, 23, and 25-year-old goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale leave if they receive big offers.
The latter two I can understand, but Nketiah!?? Just give the uselessCunt away.

I read that Palace were keen on Nketiah (fuck knows why) and Arsenal said 'No'.
I agree in giving the useless c.unt away but these folk are offering money for him. Take it now FFS.

I might be wrong but I can't see any business being done in January simply because we haven't got the spending ability.

Surely anything above £25m represents good value to us.
Sell 2 or 3 fringe players, that hardly get any minutes anyway, buy 1 top notch player and permanently promote 1 or 2 of the young talent that will be in the squad next season anyway .
Fringe players aplenty - Cedric, Nelson, Eddie, Elneny, any of those out on loan Marquinhos ? Where the hell is he ?
