One of the media rags suggested yesterday that el basque is considering recalling tierney from his loan spell - methinks there is a bigger chance of me winning the euromillions than there is of tierney getting game time under this fool again

Personally I would like to see him back IF the basque c.unt is willing to give him game time - we have too many games to be playing saka all the time even if saka was in form, but now that he is so badly out of form it makes sense to leave him out for a few games and try something different

I don't expect that I'll ever lose the schoolboy sense of humour....hope not anyway.

This is probably just John Cross bollocks, but if true, then it's an acknowledgement of how weak the team is (despite the fucking fortunes the apprentice has spent) and suggests that this season is being written off.

Anyone got ''John Cross making up bollox transfer stories in a future window in a whole "About to spend big" in the summer planted story'' on the 'back to 2008-18' bingo card? If so, cross it off.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 7:19 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 3:40 pmNEW: Arsenal will target a left-back in the January transfer window, with a loan deal likely ahead of moves for three primary targets in midfield and attack in the summer

Other than Rice (and Timber) Arteta seems to like signing players who aren't exactly physically Robust: Vieira, Marquinhos, (even Odegaard is somewhat lightweight when it comes to the physical side of the game). Reminds me of how Wenger used to go for the skilled players but who struggled when it comes to a 'Fight'.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I'm hoping the renewals for Eddie and Nelson were as much to do with making sure they don't walk out the door for nothing (as happened oh so often in the era of the great economist
) as it was about thinking they were the definitive answers to our squad.
If we got say, 20m for Nelson and 30m for Eddie, which in today's insane market isn't beyond the realms of possibility, then 50 mill in the bank where once we would have got sweet fuck all for the likes of - Sanchez, Ramsey, Lacazette will show at the very least the era of gross mismanagement of outgoings is finally being addressed.

Except we have probably spent £20m on their joint wages over the past 18 months, meaning your £50m profit suddenly becomes £30m. Just about enough to buy half a Dominic Solanke.rodders999 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 9:45 amI'm hoping the renewals for Eddie and Nelson were as much to do with making sure they don't walk out the door for nothing (as happened oh so often in the era of the great economist) as it was about thinking they were the definitive answers to our squad.

If we do buy anyone this month then it will be down to wiggy knowing fuck all about football because if I was the owner and a manager pissed away 65 million on Havertz, I'd tell Arteta to fuck off before I give him another cent to spend.
