Is Callum Wilson worth a punt at £18m ? I stand by my belief that we desperately need a proper number 9 striker, and £18m isnt a huge fee in todays world, but is he enough of an upgrade to justify it, and also should his injury record deter clubs from buying him ? Mixed opinions on him tbh
I think that the fact that the headchoppers are willing to let him go for £18m in January probably tells us all we need to know.
He'll probably want big wages.
Would he be an upgrade, probably. Is he the type of striker we need, debatable. Is it a risk, most definitely.
Last thing we need is another sick note on the books

No mate, anything but he's not that good, nor is he consistent and has an injury record to rival Tierney.
I’ve like Calum Wilson since his Bournemouth days, he’s a tidy finisher but as others have said he’s a perma crock and we’ve enough of those thanks very much.

He'd be an upgrade on The Feather and while not as good a foobler as Jesus he'd score more - if he could stay fit. Which it seems he can't. I'm with OneBard it's a no from me. But then £18million is nothing.....

I fully expected you to say you would rather play Wilson 2.0 from on here up front

Stop - we'd be living in an expected goals universe instead of dealing with actual goals and reality

Especially the "Reality" bit... I think he wants Harry Potter to take over from Arteta.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is on a three-man shortlist to replace Xavi at Barcelona, along with Liverpool's outgoing boss Jurgen Klopp and Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Arteta is considering stepping down as Gunners boss at the end of the season despite having 18 months left on his contract, although there has not yet been any approach from Barcelona.

Arteta on the report in Spain linking him to the Barcelona job: "Totally fake news. I don’t know where it is coming from. It is totally untrue. I am really upset about it. I could not believe it. No source, nothing. You have to be cautious when you talk about personal things."
