Captain Black won't leave, he's got it too good at the Arsenal. It's why I always knew that Wenger would never move on, despite his not infrequent comments about how he could have gone to Real, Barca, Bayern blah blah blah. He knew full well that he would last one season maximum at a club that expects to compete for and win trophies. Imagine telling the board and fans at Real or Bayern that 4th place is a trophy!

At no other club, let alone a top club, would Wenger have had free reign to run the whole shooting match, with no pressure to win anything and no accountability....plus earning, or should I say robbing, millions per year.
I have no doubt that Arteta will see it exactly the same way. I don't expect him to get the amount of rope that the Old Fraud got, but he'll get plenty of time to achieve fuck all.
Hope I'm wrong.

Bottom line is, don't believe any media reports from Spanish or Italian media outlets, they are all aligned to certain clubs so just spout bollocks to try to 'boost' their club!
Barca couldn't afford a lottery ticket at the moment! Arteta may go in a couple of years when the Spanish govt bail them out by buying their old first team kit for 400m euros! !

You are getting Real Madrid and them mixed up, both get help / special treatment but only 1 is favoured by the Spanish government / royalty

The Spanish royalty ought to be very anti Real Madrid. They were Franco's "state" team and it was he that got shot of the royals in the civil war.

I'd always read it was the Spanish government and banks that bankrolled Madrid.

Aren't the king of Spain ( Felipe VI) and his daughter; Leonor, Princess of Asturias both huge real (Royal) Madrid fans with a Royal Box etc?

Cedric Soares could be set for a permanent exit from Arsenal in the coming days.
As per others, Galatasaray among the Turkish clubs interested in the Portuguese defender.
Talks ongoing with Turkish window set to close on 9 February.
