from todays most reliable rag ...

But Arteta says without his players pushing each other, their Premier League dreams will be confined to “Disneyland”.

If Arsenal beat table-toppers Liverpool on Sunday, they will move two points off them.

The Emirates blockbuster comes just five days after White and Zinchenko had to be pulled apart as they clashed over conceding a late goal in the 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

Asked if the defenders were friends again, Arteta quipped: “They have been in the same house the past few days — sharing wives and everything!

Us Wilson has jumped the shark.

I'm out.

Its pigeon chess

You have him in check, then he shits on the table, knocks all the pieces out and struts around all puffed up as if he's won the game.

Waste of time chaps

He's clueless.

A Question for Wilson2.0

Not having a go mate, but out of the 25 signings below (by Arteta & Edu) how many would you say have been successful signings?

25) Havertz

24) Raya

23) Rice

22) Runar Alex Runarsson

21) Auston Trusty

20) Willian

19) Marquinhos

18) Albert Sambi Lokonga

17) Nuno Tavares

16) Mat Ryan

15) Jakub Kiwior

14) Fabio Vieira

13) Matt Turner

12) Pablo Mari

11) Cedric Soares

10) Jorginho

9) Takehiro Tomiyasu

8 ) Thomas Partey

7) Leandro Trossard

6) Gabriel Magalhaes

5) Ben White

4) Oleksandr Zinchenko

3) Aaron Ramsdale

2) Gabriel Jesus

1) Martin Odegaard

I count Eight. :?

Marquinhos cost 3m. Matt Turner was bought as a back up keeper, never played a league game and was sold for a profit - what's the issue?

How have we surged up the table if all his signings are shit?

Although my biggest issue if the blind faith belief replacing Arteta means we would get better. No one is willing to admit Conte if he replaced Arteta, could turn into a fuking disaster.

You don’t read what people write do you? Actually, I think you read it but choose to apply your own bad faith understanding. How many times do people have to say that replacing Arteta would be no guarantee of success. It’s always a risk.

However, keeping him is absolutely no guarantee of success. Losers settle for mediocrity. Winners realise that calculated risk is necessary. He’s had 4 years and 700 million and how much further on are we? We’ll get nowhere near the title this season and the team have clearly regressed. Worst of all, he’s got the Wenger gene and won’t admit he’s wrong.

As for him winning a league title, he might have a chance with one of the big two in Scotland, but that’s about his level.

Everyone’s asking…would you mind answering augie’s questions please?
Nailed it there Retro. That's always been the issue with him on here tbh.

I’m afraid OB that both you and augie are gonna wait a long time for an answer.

I don’t like pile ons and everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if you’re going to disparage everyone else’s opinion, then be prepared to back your own views up. Most of all, don’t hide when very clear questions are asked. It simply lets everyone know that you have no basis for your opinion, other than blind (and misplaced) faith.

Exactly. I'd usually ask people to calm it a bit when they pile on one poster, as we are all entitled to our opinion, but tbh Wilson brings it on himself with his patronising and disparaging posting style. Worse, he seems incapable of accepting the obvious evidence in front of his eyes or backing up his outlandish claims.

Fuck me, that’s really is terrifying isn’t it.

I’ve a soft spot for Tomi so might cut him a bit of slack, but only a fool would list him as a success. I suppose it’s fair to call White a partial success, but I don’t rate him at all if I’m honest.

So, minor pedantry aside, I can’t argue with your assessment DB and what shocking reading it makes when it’s in black and white like that. Damning indictment of Arteta and Edu. :(

Straight up Retro, the two I was a bit torn on were Tomi and White! Tomi was brilliant initially but has been very hit and miss when fit ever since. And White has had some good games but equally some pretty bad ones and while he is not the worst we have I think he could be easily replaced with a better player without breaking the bank.

How is Zinchenko a massive failure? How has Tomiyasu been a failure? Two players both better than Tierney.

And anyone who cant recognize Odegaard as a success, isnt serious and has an agenda.

10) Jorginho - not seen enough but not a success

9) Takehiro Tomiyasu - failure

8 ) Thomas Partey - failure

7) Leandro Trossard - success

6) Gabriel Magalhaes - success

5) Ben White - partial success

4) Oleksandr Zinchenko - massive failure

3) Aaron Ramsdale - partial success

2) Gabriel Jesus - partial success

1) Martin Odegaard - success against the minnows, failure against the big teams

That's fucking grim isn't it. :|
Oh your one of these Lee Gunner Keiran Teirney fan boys, who htink he should be club captain

How is Zinchenko a massive failure? How has Tomiyasu been a failure? Two players both better than Tierney.

And anyone who cant recognize Odegaard as a success, isnt serious and has an agenda.
:coffeespit:

Have you got dyslexia or something?!

Where did I even mention Tierney?  For the record he was superb when he joined but went backwards badly under Arteta and is too injury prone. I'd mark Tierney as a failure - but the remit was to name Arteta's buys.

If you have to ask how Zinchenko has been a failure then you are fucking WUMing ffs.

Tomi is too injury prone and inconsistent. On his good days he can be very good. On his bad days he can be a liability.

Anyone that cannot see the obvious inconsistencies in Odegaard when he constantly goes missing against the big clubs and only really shines against the minnows has to be a clueless fan boy that thinks SlySports is an authority on football.

Mate you are really making a show of yourself on this thread. Maybe time to tuck your head in and go back to worshiping your Pep and Klopp posters.
