BBC Sports:

Newcastle United and Arsenal are on alert after contract talks between Brentford and their 27-year-old England striker Ivan Toney stalled.

Arsenal and Real Madrid have enquired about the 21-year-old England Under-21 centre-back Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite,

Arsenal are losing patience with Germany midfielder Kai Havertz and are considering selling the 24-year-old this summer.

Oh! Pullleeeese! As If Arteta Would Ever Admit To Fucking Up! :?

I know mate. Rightly as you say who the fuck would walk away from 300k a week (I mean that's £1.2 MILLION a Month!)...

And of course Arteta is So Arrogant ( Like TOF he is a Control freak - Hence the Micro-managing players till all natural creativity has been Coached out of them) and will NEVER admit to fucking this up.

So that's £65Million signing on fee and just to add insult to injury we have to play with the equivalent of 10 men AND pay for it via £78 million (@ £300k per week for 5 years)

The Mind fucking Boggles... It's enough to send a sane person round the twist!

Imagine IF we were actually in for mmbappe.

Is it legal if Adidas helps with the funds to do so?

Mbappe is a truly great player there's no doubt about that. I think his wage demands would be ridiculous so unless he's prepared (which is doubtful) to take a huge wage cut then there's no way we will sign him.

He’s on just shy of a million quid a week at PSG and will probably look for more when he moves. Not sure even Cheaty could manage that when they already have Haaland on similar money (and the only way they can pay him is by fucking cheating).

Having said that I’ve no idea how bankrupt Madrid could cough up that kind of cash either other than by sheer corruption which that whole club is riddled with so they’ll find a way.

Mbappe has been whoring himself out to Madrid for about 3 years now, turned down a chance to go to Saudi and trouser all the monies, no discussion to be had as to where he’s going.

To be (somewhat) fair to mbappe, he didnt go chasing the money to saudi when others have - yes I know that he will get a huge pay day regardless of where he goes, but it does seem that the level of football club he is going to is more important than the moolah. Also tbf to him a second time, he by all accounts seems to have a fondness for AFC and supposedly loved watching TH14 in his pomp for us

Yeah he had fuck all interest in Saudi, the Madrid deal has been done in the background for ages now and they’ve just been waiting for him to run down his contract at PSG.

Barca and Madrid are fucked financially yet Madrid keep splurging, the truth will also come out about them too eventually.

I've always been a big fan of Martinelli (although he seems to take his man on less than he originally did....coached out of him perhaps?) and likewise Saka, who is coming into form of late.

However, just to start a discussion, what would the opinion amongst you fellas be if it was proposed that we could replace Martineli and Saka with Mitoma and Neto? For the purpose of debate, forget the injury issues that Neto has had and just consider the proposition assuming all players were at the top of their game. Maybe some would replace one of ours with one of those?

I'd struggle with the choice to be honest.

Btw, I'm not suggesting that this is an area of concern in our side and certainly not when we have glaring holes to fill, but just thought it worthy of calm debate without the usual screaming and acrimony.

Naaah! Fuck That!

:D

Whilst I would be delighted to have both Mitoma and Neto at Arsenal, I think Saka and Martinelli are levels above both of those, but Mitoma and Neto would be excellent Back-Ups for when Gabby & Saka get those Leeetul bit Neegils and / or when the fixtures congestion kicks in, so that we could realistically compete in the League Cup, FA Cup, Prem and CL.

Also agree that the Attacking Flair Gabby and Saka first showed week in week out seems to have greatly reduced over the past 2 seasons, most likely as part of the more "Possession Based(*) " tactics that the team are now employing; which though making us less dynamic initially now seems to be paying dividends if the last 3 games are anything to go by, though time will tell I guess.

(*) We are still able to launch deadly attacks & break aways, but seem to be more in control of both aspects of games: Attack and Defence, though I am 99% certain that is down to the addition of Rice to our midfield, the constancy of the Saliba and Gabriel partnership at Centre Back AND that very reliable (Bermuda-esque) triangle which is beginning to work brilliantly.

Still think Havertz is the worst purchase including Cech, Luis, Gallas et al (Take your pick! ) and for me is going to have to work Miracles to change my mind on that. Simply Put he's a fuckin' Dud.

I don’t see either of those players as an upgrade - however both are decent amd would add to options as a squad / off the bench etc

I still feel Martinelli needs to pick the right option more often, does the difficult bit in beating his man, gets to the by line and over runs it or doesn’t look up to pick out a player - which he did fantastically well for Odegaard s opener btw

Saka needs to realise that taking on 2 /3 every time is not possible and to release the ball early as we will have overloads elsewhere across the pitch if we can shift the ball quickly. Plus holding onto the ball invites the challenges that don’t seem to get booking but eventually take its toll on his game.

Both our lads are still nowhere near their prime, and value wise will only rise, so unless we have a desperate need for £100m -£150m to comply with FFP ( which we don’t ) then we should be able to have them for years to come.

Trossard is good cover wide left, Nelson not so much, could Jesus play wide if, for example, we bought Tony, Valhovic etc for up top ?

Going by the various 'rumours' on Football Social Media, Arsenal have cooled their interest in Toney, must admit he has been Poney not Toney since coming back from his 8 Month ban.
