Odegaard was the best player on the pitch tonight. He played a great captain's role in stopping our players from reacting to their dirty tricks and picking up cards.
Agree 100%. He seems to be stepping up to the task of what it means to be Captain more so now. Last season there were games when he would just disappear. Perhaps it's because Captains are often perceived as being"Physical" in their leadership, but even though he appears quite lightweight physically he has a great engine and is the first and last to Press the opponents. Also he sure can pick a pass. he lead by example last night against a bunch of Churlish SavvyCunts (and that definitely includes their tosser of a manger) whose game is based around stopping the game being played rather than actually playing the game.
Great display by Raya, which is something of a relief seeing as Rambo isn't up to the job. I thought Rice was excellent also; again considering the diving, cheating nonces we were having to contend with.
Onwards and Upwards now.
I just hope those who were so Negative during last nights game can be more Positive, rather than throw the towel in before the game is finished; no matter how bleak it may be looking. As they say "It Ain't Over Till The Fat Lady Sings".
