Schevchenko

Post by wehatet******** »

I for one am looking forward to seeing him in the Premiership. He was brilliant against us in one of the Euro games (Dynamo Kiev, I think, at Wembley) but the buying power of Chelski is awesome. We can only hope that the internal bickering, with so many superstars on their books who expect to be first choice, will upset their rhythm, as it has done in the past. Anyway, what's life without a challenge?

Clubs with most players at the World Cup Finals...

Post by gooner.ed »

Including Ballack and Shevcenko, Chelski now have 18 players at the finals. Including Rosicky, Arsenal have 17. No other club in any country have as many players on duty in Germany. So although Chelski have bought established internationals, as the advert says, there is another way. Here's hoping it's good enough to buck the odds and make next season's title race a sight more interesting than the last one

Glad to see ed couldn't spell Andriy's surname either! Either way, Chelski are a daunting prospect next season if all their big money stars play to anything like their potential. :(

There's a million ways of spelling his name!

Anyway - point taken about all the stars, but hunger is key. After a World Cup summer, I'm hoping the more established Chelski lot will be too knackered to keep going in tight games as they have done last two seasons. Just hope the Gunners representation isn't overplayed in Germany as post-World Cup seasons aren't normally classic ones for Arsenal.
