For the past three years Juventus cant buy a fucking goal. Where as Arteta is breaking goal scoring records for us. Last year was our highest goal scoring season the league with 88, we have broken that record this year scoring 89 with another game to go.
If we hired Allegri, its almost a certainly the amount of goals we score will fall off a cliff. If your going to wet yourself because of trophies he previously won, then lets bring back Wenger, as Wenger has won three PL titles including going unbeaten. Who gives a cunting fuck what a manager did previously, it means nothing if there is clear evidence they have lost thier touch (like was the case with enger). All I now is Allegri has lost his touch and cant buy a goal. Biggest club in Italy and thier goal scoring record is TOny Pulis under Stoke over a three year period.
Allegri in for Arteta. LOL. Some posters are lemmings
Its funny cos allegri has won a trophy since the cone boy did![]()

So you twerk about the equivalent of an FA Cup and Community Shield. Have some shame Augie, I am calling you out as an embarrassment to our fanbase, we don't need fans like you. Ffs Nutty that's poor mate. That's the kind of stuff the Wenger cultists were throwing around at anyone that disagreed with them. You're better than that mate.nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 9:35 pmSo you twerk about the equivalent of an FA Cup and Community Shield. Why don't you go and support another club if Arsenal makes you that unhappy? I am sure Shelbourne who are top of the league in Ireland have plenty of room for you on their terraces.
The goon mentioned posters going on about inzaghi a few posts ago. I can see loads non this thread advocating him...Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 9:46 amwilson2.0 wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 12:04 amAllegri may have had success with Juventus when the rest of the league was gash. Possibly I suppose, but then again, some posters are absolutely fucking bonkers.
Where did the Allegri rant come from? Completely out of left field, because no one had been talking about Allegri, unless I missed something.
Anyway, De Zerbi is now available.![]()

Wilson's going to have a coronary when he reads the highlighted bit.Sean wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 12:50 pmOh well. It was a pleasant surprise that we challenged for the title for the second year in a row. This time we took it down to the last day, though Citeh's game in hand was always going to put them ahead. Our defeats to Villa, West Ham and Fulham were costly. Many here expected us to crash and burn this season, after our bottling it last season; including myself.
To challenge the cheating oil money cúnts - with their 115 charges - all the way into May (and taking four points off them) is an impressive feat in itself, given how corrupt the situation is. One now has to win about 80% of their games to have a good chance of the title. Dropping any points is very damaging; losing to non-title rivals and draws are no longer 'enough'. Winning really is everything. Especially with a doped club being allowed to take the piss out of the league for the last six out of seven seasons.
Despite their probably costing us the title, I was somewhat glad to see Dick doing so well at the Villa. It really is a shame that someone of his European pedigree did not work out at the Arsenal. It would have spared us from Arteta and the TOF Part II connotations. It would be nice if Dick had a chance to put things right in the future. If not, then Sean Dyche maybe? Eddie Howe? The late Joe Kinnear? Fat Sam? Owen Coyle? Tony Penis? Will no one rid us of this turbulent manager?! Eh, he's not going anywhere and he's still the apprentice to Pep.
It was nice that we did okay in our return to The Be All and End All, topping the group and beating Porto. Of course we lost to Bayern again, but not by an eight goal margin for once! We'll get another shot next season to be the perennial bridesmaid. Sadly, it is tough to believe that we could win the CL without a GG-style defence.
Also, I hope that this new 'league phase' format, where we need to finish in the top eight to bypass the knock-out playoff round and go straight into the round of 16 - and having to play two similarly seeded teams and two better seeded teams, with our dodgy co-efficient putting us about mid-table in any draw of opponents - will not make it completely impossible for us to win it someday and finally fill that giant gap in our honours.
Unlike last season, I didn't watch the run in. I listened to the Everton game on the radio and Citeh's early goals put to bed any remote hopes. I still follow the results of course, but the last several years of misery - with TOF surviving our protests, Dick sadly not working out for us and Arteta's rough start and his general unlikability as our manager - took their toll and after last season's disappointing collapse I could not suffer the worry and disappointment of watching us come so damned close and missing out again. I've seen enough title screw-ups in the 2010s with muh 'mental stwength' to not let myself hope or believe that we can actually win a title. Add in Citeh's pimped dominance over the league and it is better to watch paint dry instead. Even still, there's a disconnect between me and the club that makes it tough to even enjoy the positives. Though it was very sweet that we beat the scum! Still, like a few Gooners said in the match thread, with Citeh's corruption it all seems rather pointless to get invested in these rigged football competitions.
Though at least the Arsenal have gone from slipping out of the VT and Europa places to now appearing to have become best of the rest under the unlikable Legohead and we now have the biggest stake in seeing the oil money be negated. Listening to The Old Fraud complain about it back when we were typically a distant 3rd or 4th, or recovering from an awful league start, was embarrassing. Naturally, money talks and will beat anything. Principles? Honour? Rules? Pfft.
Now 20 years since we won the league with the Invincibles. Over the last several years, it feels like that magnificent achievement has also cursed us to never winning the league again. Other than the odd (sadly devalued) FA Cup between 2014-20, it feels like nothing will come close to 1987-94, or 1998-2004.
Though my not watching matches makes it pointless for me to be active here (and I didn't even do a mid-season review this time), I know my name still comes up in conversation, as it did last month and last autumn; so I'm glad I still made some contribution or effect even in my absence. Shout out to my board pals. I am glad this forum is still going. Here's hoping that we somehow do even better next season. UTA!
