Jail time for City execs. Then some of the characters h2ere can accept they don’t have a scooby.
:coffeespit:

Jesus Christ.

You just can't stand it when people disagree with you can you?

None of them are going to prison, Bob. Cheaty won't get relegated, they won't get any titles taken off them, they won't get a huge points deduction. They'll get a big old token fine, a moderate token points deduction after they negotiate a lesser guilty plea on administrative charges only.

I'm not sure how things are done in "the village" but this is how they are done in the big bad world of high finance and big business and sports washing.
Agreed mate, it will be swept under the carpet, big fine, 10 point deduction, a dustbin full of Rolex watches, a bugatti or two and a van full of escorts.

As the The Specials eloquently put it "It's All a Load of Bollox"

Over the years I have been very passive and non plussed about the whole FFP issue (mainly cos I feel an owner should be allowed spend as much of their own money as they want), but after the points deductions issued this season to the two small clubs, I am now very much focused on what is going to happen to city and if this legal action is because the premier league had the cheek to charge them for their corruption, then the premier league should now just fcuk them out of the league altogether and dont bother with a hearing at all. This is tantamount to playing the race card and totally unacceptable - to my knowledge the premier league is basically a private entity and has total discretion as to who they let in and who they dont, and if a member isnt abiding by the rules of compliance AND providing requested documentation, then there should be no meetings and they should be just fcuked out   :censored: :censored: :censored:

Manchester City’s legal case against the Premier League’s associated party transaction (APT) rules will begin on Monday, June 10.

#MCFC are suing the league in an attempt to have the rules — which they claim are unlawful — abolished in a two-week private arbitration hearing.

The Premier League’s APT rules were originally introduced in December 2021 in the wake of the Saudi-backed takeover of Newcastle United.

The regulations are in place to guard against clubs using sponsorship deals with companies linked to their owners to inflate revenue streams and allow more room for spending.

For the first time I’m beginning to think City have got a bit of a problem here.

Their odds to be relegated continue to be slashed as well. Now into 16/1

I think Cheaty know they are fucked. Hence they've gone full blown D Trump and gone on the offensive.

Unless the PL have broken the law, I'm not sure how Cheaty will win this. PL lawyers must look at every rule to make sure that it doesn't break the law.

As long as it's legal the PL can have any rules they like and membership means compliance.

And, don't forget the rule breaking is for historical offences, whereas this is a relatively new rule. I don't think the PL will take this lightly and will go after Cheaty on each and every charge.

And that is the point I was making earlier - these rules were voted on by the premier league clubs so if citeeh are not happy and wont accept the rules, then they should be told to do one and fcuk back to the football league where they spent a lot of their history in  In all honesty the other premier league clubs should be issuing a joint statement basically telling citeeh that they either accept these rules or fcuk off cos one club should not be allowed over-rule the wishes of the other 19 clubs

This is all a bit of a mystery to most of us I'm sure, but unlike Nick above, it makes me less confident that City will be brought to book. If these APT rules (whatever they are) relate to over spending through spurious sponsorship deals and only came into being in Dec 2021, then doesn't that insulate City from charges relating to the previous 10 or 12 years? I've no idea.

I'd imagine that City's lawyers know what they're doing here and that they'll fog the issue to such an extent, making nonsense claims, challenges and appeals, so that the whole affair will drag on for literally years, resulting in some weak final decision just to get the thing resolved. Hope not and hope the PL nail them.

I think the PL know that and will nail them on the not supplying the information charges. Wasn't that about 30+ charges.? I'm not sure that there is precedent, legal or otherwise, and so the PL can attach a suitable punishment for each charge.

But you're right Retro, Cheaty's lawyers will obfuscate the process for each and every charge :censored:

Don’t do it to yourself lads. Nothing of note will happen. Lord Pannick, if he’s still representing City, will mitigate a ‘hefty’ fine for them and a small points deduction.

It’s all a load of bollocks.

Cheaty are fucked and know they are staring down the barrel with no way out. This smacks of conplete and utter bully tactics to try one last horrendous, narcissistic power move. This is Hitler in the bunker moving those armies that don't exist. This is desperate fucking deranged fucking selfish lunacy. This is them trying to burn the whole fucking place down before they get expelled and hoping it fucks everybody else up. They are fucked, they won't be coming back from this and there is no way on fucking hell they are getting close to winning this case. There are 19 other Premier League clubs who have a complete and clear power block against them. They are finished. They'll lose this and the Premier League will dock them 40 points next season at the least. The other 19 clubs will be pushing for them to be expelled. Fucking hell, this is disgusting and without sounding dramatic, I really do think that the entire game in England hangs on how they get punished.
