Re: Kevin Campbell
Feel as cut up today as when Rocky died. KC was one of my favourite players in the early 90s.
RIP Super Kev.

He often played second fiddle to Smith and Wright but never let you down . He was what used to be known as a stalwart , always dependable ,

During the past few seasons I have been 'tuning in' to listen to the You Tube broadcasts of "Highbury Squad" of which Super Kev was the regular Co-Presenter with Sophie Nicolaou and not only did he always speak sense and truth, but he had a beautiful smile and a gentle way of saying things.

Such an explosive player, loved him. Tragic news, taken so young, my heart goes out to his family and friends. Always came across as a super guy, not just a super Kev. RIP.

Re: Kevin Campbell RIP
Rest in Peace, Super Kev. Terrible news to hear and it's got me thinking about him over the course of the day. I remember him being this absolute force of nature during that 1990-91 title winning run-in; powering through defences, defenders just bouncing off him and smashing in goals game after game. Whacking one past David Platt in the Villa goal, that header in 1994 against PSG which took us to the Cup Winners Cup Final, a hat-trick at Swindon which he joked was overshadowed in a second by his mate Wrighty scoring that chip from miles out, always running, always smiling, always giving it everything. Some players play for years at clubs and never have the impact he had in that title winning season or the 1993 cup runs. And he always came across as such a lovely bloke, down to earth, friendly, ready to have a laugh with whoever was interviewing him. This is such a sad loss. I fucking loved him when I was young and always looked out for him after he left the club and then whenever he appeared on the TV or radio or wherever. Thanks, Kev, thanks for the moments and the memories. Take care and love to your family.

Re: Kevin Campbell RIP
Thats sad news, My fondest memory of Kevin Cambell was watching him and wrighty utterly dismantle sheffield Utd in what must have been 1992 ish........like above posts sheffield defenders just bounced off him and his first finish was TH14esque, bringing the keeper all the way over to him before opening up and slotting it into the far post. Back when you could smoke and get free onions on yer highbury hotdog.
