Denmark's national team's will receive equal pay and conditions, after the men's side signed a four-year agreement with the Danish Football Association (DBU).
The agreement will come into effect after Euro 2024 and the plan includes equal basic remuneration for appearing for the national side, a development fund for the women's team paid for by the men's team and DBU and no pay rise for the men's players.
The players and DBU will also create a joint home for the national team, including the men, women and youth teams.
The agreement was arranged alongside the Danish players union, Spillerforeningen, whose director said: "The men’s team chose not to demand any changes in the conditions in their new agreement.
"It’s an extraordinary step to help improve the conditions of the women’s national teams. So, instead of looking for better conditions for themselves, the players thought about supporting the women’s team."
