Apparently bellendingham went off at the meeja in post game press conference about all the personal criticism he and the players have got - Irish tv lads rightly pointing out that not one bit of the criticism has been personal and it has all been performance based 8) When TA6 were cruelly labelled as a donkey by the meeja, that was personal and it stuck for years. Reality is that there are too many ego;s on that england team and southgate is picking his team based on reputations rather than things like team balance and chemistry. If southgate had balls fat tongue would be dropped as would either bellingham or foden cos they cant play together - personally I would drop bellingham cos his body language and attitude are not a good look imo. England need a striker that makes runs in behind the opposition defence to get their defences to drop deeper and open up more space in midfield, but instead they have kane dropping deep, bellingham already in those spaces, and foden also trying to occupy those spaces, and then saka is being slated even though he is basically up front on his own

Have to also say that from an AFC perspective, rice has looked very ordinary in this tournament

99% of the England team have been ordinary or worse. That can't be a coincidence.

Southgate's tactics are shocking. He must have tried 5 different formations, Saka in 4 different positions and just threw players on to see what happens. I think he finished with the same formation he started with, except with subs. :fryingpan:

He's gone after this tournament regardless of how he does and some poor buggers will end up with him as manager and probably relegated.

I know that it is viewed by many as a rag newspaper, but the Daily Star gave bellingham 8 out of 10 and fat tongued kane 7 out of 10 last night, and I'm asking myself if a child did out these ratings :? I mean I know goalscorers are priceless in the modern game, but those two were absolute muck last night and a goal each doesnt hide that imo. I actually felt sorry for kane at one stage last night cos he looked like a carthorse unable to move and the game seemed too fast for him - I have long since stated my belief that the premier league is vastly over-rated, but the one thing it does do because it is a high tempo league is that it has players sharp, and I'm wondering if playing in a slower tempo league has affected fat tongue to the point that he now looks too old or out of shape for this level :rubchin:
