Arteta and the coaching team see the players in training day in and day out, but according to some that’s totally irrelevant, Arteta has his favourites and he just plays them.
Rather than pick the team that he believes is the team most likely to win a match, he chooses to pick the players he likes the most.
Arteta is like the majority of managers, they aren’t seeking to be best friends with players, Very debateable...certainly close to certain players they choose a team to win matches.
Of course most managers will sell players that they feel are bad in the dressing room and squad, not that there is any suggestion ESR was.
Of course he is a good player, but good enough to be a regular in a title competing team, I don’t think so. When he came into the team certainly looked good enough him and Saka were great
£27m plus add ons is a reasonable amount.
Good luck to him, but I don’t believe this is a bad decision. Agreed hope he does well for himself
As for the sell Viera comments, maybe Arteta would like to, but there haven’t been any offers, maybe Viera doesn’t want to go.
Been no offers because no one would buy him...arteta also said He’s a player with enormous talent and we will get the best out of him, and talking of him being in first team this season
The way some people post on here, they make it sound so easy buying selling players. Not easy but should be able to spot a fraud such as nekitah, Viera or zinchenko

€27m / £23m rejected for Eddie Nketiah. With personal terms agreed, Marseille want him and rate him highly, but #Arsenal have a selling perception that they need to change. Edu got the price he wanted for Smith Rowe, and it feels like he will get it here too. We’re close. #AFC

Apparently Pep's daughter wants to jump his bones, so I think that's why they are keen to get shot of him; I mean besides the fact that he's not that good.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:15 pm
Personally, haven't been impressed with him and when I saw this rumoured a few days ago, my reaction was the same as augie's....buying our so-called competitor's cast-offs. It hasn't worked so far and we need to be better than that.
He arrived after Arteta had left City, so hopefully the connection isn't there.
Which means I've cursed it and we're sure to buy him now.![]()
Now if they were selling The Over-sized Cabbage Patch Doll aka: Mongo (©DB10)- Then yeah! Why Not!.
I've emailed Pep (anonymously) saying that Mongo has been sending his daughter AND his missus inappropriate text messages, and am awaiting the 'for sale' announcement.![]()
So any minute now Sly news will announce he is coming to Arsenal as our striker!

Got to love Ramsdale commenting on Smith-Rowe's transfer .

That's why Arsenal decided to reject €27m proposal from Olympique Marseille, as revealed on Friday.
No agreement between clubs so far and OM could now start to look also at new options.

Marseille in advanced talks with Dortmund about their young striker Moukoko.
So it looks like being pig headed over Eddie NoGoals is going to cost us again
Look, the guy is 25 years old, that's halfway through his career FFS! He doesn't play, doesn't score and has a three year contract for 100k a week (over 15m), So accept 20m, save 15m and we're fucking shot of a very very very average striker who at best is lower PL level.

Going nowhere, our legendary transfer negotiations tactic in action once again.
Dear Marseille football people
we want shut of this lad, he's beyond woeful, but we need you to pay us enough that we don't feel so bad about taking a chance on the numpty in the first place. so you give us the millions we want and we'll supply you with one of the most below average strikers of the lat 20 years that barely scores, barely assists and in most games you'd hardly know he;'s on the pitch....without doubt worth a put me ol french mucker eh????
regards
Arsenal Negotiations department.

Take whatever they offered for Nketiah and consider youselves lucky.
As everyone's said, he's as good as a chocolate teapot or an ashtray on a motor bike!!
FFS, just get rid.

So take whatever a buying club offers for our players and pay whatever a selling club wants when we want to buy a player.
Shrewd, very shrewd.

When there a liability yes. Eddie is a liability. He offers nothing whatsoever and is like playing with 10 men. He's taking the place of someone who could offer something.
ESR was sold cheap we are doing the opposite here.
Give him away. 23m is amazing.

Nketiah is worth £25m imo. I would have accepted the current offer from Marseille and moved for the lad at Brighton.

Looks like we fucked up a good £27m deal for a striker worth less than £12m. Now we’re fucking stuck with the useless no-mark cùnt.
