I assume The Telegraph is accepted as being more reputable than sky sports or talksport ? :rubchin:

Most fans be it on here or at the stadium recognised that the players were not putting in the required effort or simply not good enough and we needed a complete overhaul, which you can only do step by step, get the players to take you to Europe, then Champions League, then challenging for the title …..then :barscarf:

You say it “ looks like” Super Mik intended to keep the big earners ….based on what ? Did he tell you that himself ?

Nope I don’t agree that he doesn’t give youth a chance- they have to be of sufficient quality, or else what’s the point ?
Omari Hutchinson went to. Chelsea for the money 💰 didn’t play and ended up at Ipswich

Nelson ? Not good enough, likely to be sold.
ESR ? Sadly. Not good enough hence why he is at Fulham now.
Nketieh ? Not good enough, likely to be sold.
All came through the ranks, but not up to first team standard.

Nwaneri and Myles - Skelly are the two best prospects, been with the squad in the USA and will potentially be given appearances this season.

And I didn’t realise it was compulsory to give an answer for everything you post.

The media are often calling him out for being too passionate, stating he should be made to sit down, stop coaching from the sidelines etc etc, some have given him credit for taking us to within an inch of City and rightly so, yet some Arsenal fans on here can’t do that

Who knows what Emery could have achieved given time and backing but in his second season our “bad run” was woeful and we had a no show in a European final.

Now he is in his second season with Villa, do you think they will finish above us ?
If not why not, you were sure they would overtake us last year, yet they were miles behind.

This was the Line-up of Arsenal for Arteta's first game in charge against Bournemouth in 2019

If ever there was an article with a guy patting himself on the back, then this is it

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... -2019.html

I have said previously that I reckon that our recruitment in recent seasons has been no better than average, but I find it amusing that in the article edu said that he looked at the team and decided that they were not performing - the squad had finished 1pt off top 4 after years of decline and had reached the europa league final, and then in that first season went on to win the fa cup and we havent won a proper trophy since, so I'd love to know how he gauges the current squad performance considering he has sanctioned 700m in transfer purchases :rubchin:

He could always go manage Chelse and we hire Allegri. Chelsea would surge above us in the table, but hey, at least we will have a 'proper' manager.

Lets just wait until the window closes and we suddenly realise that Wolves , Villa and Brighton have played with 5 across the middle , doubled up on Saka and forced us to play endless sideways passes and then think why the hell did we not invest in someone that could change the system . However the day after Brighton is too late as the window will have closed.

Last season we scored 91 league goals. Literally our highest ever PL total.

We lost to them 2-1 in a friendly over a week ago. Why would we mention them again now? :-P
