ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Same old story I'm afraid. We never go big for the player that is obviously needed. Without a proven goal scorer I think we will struggle to finish top 4. We sign hopefuls (or 'develop our youth' )and put them on big salaries which is why we have trouble moving them on, we just don't learn.
Oh and what a surprise ESR scores on his debut. Couldn't have predicted that could we!!!!
Hang your head in shame Arteta. You are clueless.
Not saying you are wrong in that bit in red, Step - you may well be on the money - but my personal feeling is we will finish second or third this season with Cheateh "winning" it unless they are deducted points (they won't be of course).

My thinking is based on the relative poor quality of the league and in particular the state of the clubs in the so called top 6 at present. They are all either in transition with new and relatively new managers like the mousers* and the scum, or just plain shit and in hilarious chaos, like the chav$.

I think that weakness of competition as much as our own qualities should help alot towards placing us either second or third this season. The big unknown is how the little bald fella at the victims* does, if he gets the new manager bounce or not, or if he turns out to be a really good manager in the PL. They might finish second - or sixth!

When I do think we will struggle for top four is the season after this one, when those transition clubs have mostly gelled and probably added the quality they need. At that stage I wouldn't be surprised if we are still relying on Havertz and Jesus up front.

Havertz and Jesus up front is more than likely because the proven goalscorer doesn't fit with the system . If you want a different player to shake things up a bit then you are looking for a forward that is prepared to sit on the bench and get 20 minutes every 5 games or so .
To make themselves undroppable their return in goals would have to be phenomenal and one man's scoring record would get weighed against the other players possible reduction .
I can't see any change in the style until at least January when it's possible that other managers will have caught on to the style and our position may well be fourth or fifth rather than second or top.

Scored again yesterday so that is 2 in 2 games - not bad for a guy that lacks composure

We haven't signed our yearly Chav yet this window. Offloading Mudryk to us could be on the cards.

I'd love to know what braindead gobshites swallow that crap ?? Even if the village gardener is correct, would anybody consider signing raya, calafiori and merino as a successful window ? Signing a decent but not top class keeper, an average midfielder, and a defender who is either going to be played out of position at left full, or a back up to the first choice centre backs, are not gonna bridge the gap between winning trophies and ending up potless again. To compound that, we still have nketieh, nelson, kiwor, partey, zinchenko, ramsdale, jesus and the portugese pussy in the squad, and you could put up a strong argument why all of them are not at the level needed.

We now live in a "what have you done for me lately world" and as such the brainless muppets on social media dominate with short term opinions and I get that, but I continue to say that our performance in the transfer market in recent seasons has been poor given the money spent, but of course edu runs an article in the papers praising himself for getting rid of players 4 years ago and the sheep are sufficently distracted not to notice anything else

I remember Edu saying more or less the same thing a few seasons back....

Then we signed Pepe.

Watch out for a late bid for Raheem 'Handbag' Sterling from our suppliers in West London.
With Neto and about 8 other wingers he's surplus to requirements and I'm pretty sure Arteta will be in there with a 45m offer for the guy who's worth about 10m max!!!

Don't laugh........ It's coming!! :banghead:
