As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I'm nearly done if this guy is here after the window closes. Entitled maybe as we have got better albeit our rivals are worse but failing to strengthen the glaringly weal areas just smacks of latter 10 years of wenger. We all know if this isn't addressed we have 0 hope of winning.
There's actually some retards who think he can do a job for us.
Same attack that has failed for 3 seasons, yet not improved 1 bit.
What's the point. I thought the days of the manager being blind to glaring weaknesses were gone.
We give esr away and yet are greedy for this useless prick.
Sickening.
Dont worry - we are reliably informed by a person on this forum that the guy has a bevy of clubs after him and our club are actually doing a wonderful job not selling him for less than he is worth Imagine selling smith-rowe for less money than we are looking for for this clown
If you are referring to me? I said we are trying to sell players for their true value, having been shafted over many years. I also said we should accept £25m and move on and replace him with a better player. Try reading every post I make rather than a selective view that needs constant fact checking.
I reiterate that other clubs are interested in Nketiah. Marseille is a known basket case club with not a pot to piss in. I doubt very much that they have offered anywhere near what Romano reckons they have bid. That bloke is a serial shit stirrer who gets his info from the clubs themselves. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.
Just wait and see what happens.
In Bobby we trust.
I hate Nketiah his true value is f all.
But dont do the same to the last guy with that slogan!

They have just bought Eyle Wahi from Lens for guess what 30 million euros . They did have a piss pot just not our one .

Tell you what impressed me was the way Chelsea did the deal for Neto. No one saw that coming and then Bam! Out of the blue Chavs are interested in Neto, next day they've signed him.

Shame we couldn't be more like that.
Exactly the point I made the other day. Never been any different in all my years as a Gooner and it seriously pisses me off.
Take the piss out of the chavs all we want for their scattergun approach, but it will come good in the end and the fact they got Neto really gutted me. I’ve been hopeful for 3 yrs that we’d get him and I’ll be fucking sick to see him in that blue shirt.
Marseille want Eddie on a loan with a conditional obligation to buy. He has to hit certain milestones to make it a mandatory buy. Either way, selling him to Marseille does nothing for us this Summer as they don’t have a pot to piss in, having bought Mason Greenwood. If they were to actually buy him after his loan then the transfer fee won’t land until next Summer. So it won’t help us pay for his replacement this Summer, which we would obviously need to do. Otherwise what’s the point in selling him??!!
This chap from Lens is crap and they also want to pay for him over a period of time. Marseille are chancers and I don’t blame us for playing hard ball.

Just want him gone. A youth team kid could do no worse. I don't want him stinking up the bench regardless of replacement. He's failed and shown many times he's not good enough and his attitude or work rate is abysmal. Yes people castigated ozil for being lazy or whatever but he was class. Eddie is shit and lazy. Don't care if its not his style/game to run around. He needs to as what he does at mo isn't achieving anything. No movement, average finishing. Standing around waiting for something to happen. If your dead eye dick and lethal you can get away with that. He ain't. So he can't.
Am I the only one who just wants him flushed regardless of us signing a replacement? Obviously we need a decent striker as we have none. But Eddie is no loss whatsoever. I'd rather havertz, martinelli or trossard up front for when Jesus is inevitably injured and or shit.
He's utter pongo and his stupid wages off the balance sheet even if jes given away would be preferable to him staying.
Yes we get crap value when selling. It galls me to see victims and chavs selling unproven kids for 20m. Problem is Eddie is proven. Proven to be shit so 25m for him is a pipe dream.
We should have sold him last summer when his body of evidence wasn't disenhanced by his utter shiteness last year.
He had a bout 3 good games when after a new contract. Before and after he was utter gash. Just f off you lazy prick.

Then tell Marseille to fuck off and sell him to someone else. There's been interest in him, but we're obviously asking too much. He's costing us 100k a week for fuck all, so get what we can for him and move on. I'm sure we could get 20 million and in my book that's a result.
Getting greedy with a valuation that we put on him, but nobody else agrees with, will see him still at the club when the transfer window shuts. That extra year on our books will cost us 5 million in wages for him to spend most of the time sitting on the bench or producing fuck all when he is on the pitch.

Same story for Nelson. I think he could offer something as a back up if given a chance. But he never does so we should have sold him last summer after he signed a contract to protect his therortical value when there was some buzz about him. His value has been sunk by last season like Eddie's and he will never get a proper chance (Eddie has had countless) so just flush him for whatever.
We hold onto players far to long
Sell early for decent money based on potential with a buy back clause and other future options. It's evident the manager doesn't actually rate these players amd wont make it with us but we hang on too long... and there value sinks yet we panic and give then big wages in the forlorn hope of protecting what value they have left. Foolish method.
On the off chance they come good we use the buy back clause.
Alternatively give them proper loans. Not lower league ones. But once we have given them big wages we are fucked.
Lolonga and tavares are actually decent examples. We signed them on modest wages for us i assume, they didn't do it, we give them top division loans, they still didn't do it, we fuck them off.

Lunacy, just get shot.
My sentiments exactly I wont hate on the guy cos he is one of our academy guys and "one of our own" so to speak, but the reality is that he isnt good enough to be playing for AFC and good business means knowing when to get rid and knowing that taking a small hit on the fee will still represent better value than keeping him for another year and giving him more game time
