As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
For the last couple of months I have been crying out for the league to return, but now that it is here I am a bit meh about it all Tbh my indifference is more down to the fact that before it even starts we know that citeeh will win it, so I'm in a "what is the point" mode right now
No doubt we will give these a beating - they were my surprise team of last season by a country mile (especially given how often var fcuked them over), but selling neto might be a step too far for them so I am expecting a comfortable home win.
I say Red old chap that's rather 'Cuspish' of you.
Im in a cuspish sort of mood at present.....opening game nerves
still haunted by memory of Bristol City coming to highbury on opening day and winning 1-0
Holy shiiiit! I was there! I remember them coming on in a kit very much like the Scum and thinking Uh! Ohh! I do remember they could have easily been 3 nil up by half-time we were dreadful....their winning goal was a header I think?
As Augie says Wolves were a surprise team last season and got fucked-over by VAR more times than us, also Gary O'neill is a decent manager and always gives Arteta problems with his tactics.
BUT I can feel it in me bones me aaarrrty! !! Ooooh! Aaaaarggh !

Yes augie, I’m sharing the same lack of enthusiasm. I can handle the corrupt inevitability of City being nailed on to win the league, but my “meh” is a result of our, once again, failing to build on our potential.
We haven’t (so far) added the couple of players that almost everyone thinks we need if we’re to seriously challenge for top honours. It’s so fucking dispiriting. GG made the same mistake after the ‘91 season and the Old Fraud gave us 14 years of it after 2004.
I’ve given Arteta the benefit of the doubt and we have improved over the last couple of years, but without adding a top striker and centre mid, we risk regressing. If the chavs, Utd and the scousers all step up, then we’ll be back to scrapping for 4th.
It's hard to be optimistic about the new season when everyone spent last season saying we need a striker and we still haven't signed one. At the same time we are being stubborn about the price tag for Nketiah. We should sell him for a packet of crisps

Yeah... will, never forget the weird amount paid for him ( £333,333.34) or as the Occultists said "Half a Beast" 666 being the number of the Beast
I'd like to adjust my earlier 4-0 win prediction accordingly, given this bit of news.
Arsenal 1 wankstains 1 (their equalier coming in the 115th minute after the most outrageous VAR cheating we've ever seen).
We will also have a perfectly good goal ruled out for the slightest infringement in the build up, a slight contact made about 9 minutes before the goal is scored.

I fully agree and feel the same way. My lack of care also comes from the fact that we've simply not added beyond Calafiori. Knowing we're going into the season without strengthening in the midfield and up front is quite depressing,
