If that made of paper Jesus is injured again then there’s a case for 2 strikers never mind fucking 1.

Losing my bastard patience with Arteta and Edu ,

Why assemble this pretty tidy looking squad and leave us painfully short in the MOST IMPORTANT part of the fucking pitch.
spot on fella :barscarf:
Maybe it’s the nerves for todays game or the beers starting to kick in but I just feel angry about it all ,

We all deserve some success and we are so fucking close to it apart from the main ingredient! The painful thing there is nothing we can do!

Genuinely though this Jesus injury could be a blessing because it will be verging on ridiculous if we don’t sign a centre forward now.

Jesus out injured
Is that our new striker

A point here will be a good result

How this bloke, plus Partey, Zinchenko and Eddie are still at the club is unforgivable.

As Scot says above, we’re very close to being a side that can compete at the very top, but Arteta is failing to add the 2 vital pieces of the jigsaw…a CF and a centre mid…and I don’t mean a couple of fucking journeymen or second raters, but 2 top quality players.

It was straightforward this summer, but they’ve fucked about looking at goalkeepers and defenders.

Arteta deserves all that I think is heading his way. :cussing:

We were massively shite in the late Saturday kick offs last season.

Villa away, Toon away, Renters away. Scousers away we dropped points in all of them, and the only one we won against Brentford was in the last minute.

Expecting a slog later, especially if Zinchenko is in defence and Partey starts.

I genuinely can’t see us even competing at the top without a new striker.
We have Havertz and Nketiah - that’s it.
Last season Arteta proved me wrong and we got away with not having more striking options. I really can’t see that we will get away with it again though.

Rat Neville just after saying that the big area that led to us losing to villa twice last season was zinchenko starting at left back - #trusttheprocess

I know it’s only the start of the season, but this is a big game today and puts down a marker, either good or bad imo.

I’m not expecting a win and think a hard fought draw is the best we’ll manage. A defeat is likely. Emery seems to have the measure of our system and in that second half at our place last spring they gave us a football lesson. It was men against boys and it’s not often you see an opposing side have bundles more possession at our place.

If Zinchenko and Partey start then we will probably lose and with Havertz or Eddie up front, there’s fuck all to hurt them with.

Arsenal team is out.

One change from last week's win over Wolves, with Timber in for Zinchenko.

No Jesus in the squad, but Nketiah makes the bench.

Arsenal XI: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli

Jesus has a groin strain
