Stats (and opposition teams research on us) confirmed last season that the vast majority of our attacks go down our right wing - that has to frustrate the shit out of martinelli and trossard, cos it stops them getting into any kind of groove. That being said, the guy has lost the directness which terrorised opposition defences - I dont know if that is cos he has lost his nerve or cos cone boys tactics required him to change his game, but he himself has to do more

Btw I will also say that he runs the ball out of play only when he tries to go past right back on outside and doesnt trust his left foot = if he was on other wing he would have crossed it quicker imo

So Saka is doing the job he’s being paid to do and he’s doing it reasonably well, martinelli is not. From a coaching perspective you’d leave Saka in because he’s been proven to win you games, but martinelli would come out because he’s not getting the job done.

Im not seeing the hypocrisy in that outlook.
