ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There’s a rapid increase of blood flow to my pecker region any time the ban hammer gets produced on here. I’ll be up half the fucking night now.

I can’t get a proper feel for a lot of the bickering going on round there due to the quote towers. I rock into a thread and see the handbags flying but with all the scrolling I haven’t a clue who’s saying what about who. I can see some of the comments but you’d have to scroll up for 5 minutes to see who posted it. That shit needs to be sorted out.

What if buried in that wall of text someone is calling me a fucking helmet? I’d never know and I’m good with that.
All hail the Quote Tower. :barscarf:

Owen Jones is an absolute utter uber *word censored* who stokes hatred and division.

But I'd happily suck his p p os Eddie fuck off. Knew he wouldn't.

Bang goes any chance we have of the league

Ramsdale on 120k a week. Wtf

He would have been on 40 50 k at the team we signed him from at most surely, yet we have tripled his wage.

The guys would have been delighted to join us on the same wage as he was on as its a step up. Ok give him a bit more. There was no competition for him so wtf do we get a figure of 120k a week for him.

This is a massive issue.. a player who wasn't rated much when we signed him.

Yes chuck wages at in demand big signings to get them to sign not this bloke who would have been grateful just to sign.

I would love us to get Victor Osimhen from Napoli in. Yes, Havertz makes a good fist of "false nine" and the likes of Saka and Trossard get goals from wide midfield, but I honestly think getting a proper Haaland equivalent in will be the difference between falling just short again and beating City to the title.

It sounds like he isn't going to Chelsea (presumably they have finally run out of space on the team bus) so if we can find 65 million he should be ours.

I'm thinking the same - havertz offered zero on Saturday

Good shout Bob. Of course there is no guarantee he'd adapt to the PL and be a top goalscorer but given the apparent dearth of proven top goalscorers at the moment I'd certainly take a punt on him.

What I'd give to have a Time Machine and go back and sign Ian Wright (Wright ! Wright!) in his Peak!

I would then bet my fucking house on us winning the Prem...

Silly I know, but one cannot help but Dream. :? :goingtobed:

As unpopular as it might be on here, the striker I’d choose from the last 30 years to put into this side is RVP.

Bang on Mantis. It’s a long term problem at the club and means we can never shift the underachievers.

Tbh, apart from the fact that we’re paying him too much, if Ramsdale won’t move for less then at least we’ve got a reasonable second string keeper. Up to him if he’s happy not playing. None of that excuses the mad wages though and we need to correct that tendency.

🚨 Arsenal expected to accept offer from Crystal Palace to sign Eddie Nketiah. Bid worth £25m + £5m adds - similar to deal Nottingham Forest had in place. #CPFC / #AFC in direct talks & no issue anticipated on personal terms for 25yo striker @TheAthleticFC
