Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm sure that his mum was a lovely woman, but perhaps it's time to let her advice go. When "going to get the ball" means a LB frequently ends up in the inside right position, then maybe a re-think is required.

Can he play as a striker?

No. No, he cannot. Nor as a left back.

Fuck no. He'd wander over to the Russian trenches, accidentally shoot himself in the foot, and drop the Ukraine flag in their laps ffs.

Ah, the Shit Managers Merry-Go-Round.... the gift that keeps on giving.

Step forward one of this elite group's greatest servants and long time legendary members....

Ladies and Gentlemen and Spuddy, I give you.....

>drum roll<

Sir Stephen Roger Bruce! :barscarf:

In keeping with the group's storied and glorious history and time honoured tradition of somehow getting appointed to yet another managerial post based on nothing but abject failure, Sir Stephen has somehow gone and got himself appointed to his fucking THIRTEENTH manager's job.

"Who is the victim?" I hear you cry!

Why, none other than poor old Blackpool, who should be announcing their relegation just before they announce the end of Sir Stephen's employment.

So that's about 8 or 9 months away then.

Apparently Blackpool football forums etc are getting lit up with angry fans and piss takes by fans of the other TWELVE clubs that gave free money to th- oops sorry - that employed Bruce.

Best quote for me was a toon supporter warning Blackpool fans with:

You'll get very tired of "dusting wahselves doon."

""Sir Keir Starmer said: "I think, from what I've determined, about half the country were probably queuing for tickets over the weekend, but it is depressing to hear of price hikes.

"I'm committed to putting fans at the heart of music and ending extortionate price resales, and we're starting a consultation to work out how best we can do this."

Classic rat politician statement, we're not going to do anything, but we will certainly pretend we're going to find out what we could do, and then not do it.

Although George Carlin sums it up so well i'll just quote him instead

"“Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope.” "
