Are the sly scummers trying to say it was a foul for our goal?

Superb banter :barscarf:

Of course. Nothing wrong with the nudge in the back on Gabriel at Newcastle last season though. Maybe that’s where our boy learned the trick. Fuck ‘em.

I was convinced we’d lose even before our injuries etc. I’m cursed with wanting things so badly that a sense of pessimism takes control. Absolutely fucking delighted to have been wrong. What a wonderful feeling it is to do that lot.

Top notch defensive performance. The centre backs are developing into an exceptional pairing and I’m beginning to become more convinced by Raya, although I wish he was 2 or 3 inches taller. Impressed with Timber at FB. Strong and determined and their wide players gave up trying to take him on and were turning inside or back. Poor first half from White but the unit is excellent overall.

Partey is a fucking disaster and how’s he’s still at the club is way beyond me. An accident waiting to happen in every game and he almost dropped us in the shit a few times today. Similarly, Jesus should have also been gone this summer, because he’s another waste of space.

I’ve always been a big fan of Martinelli, so admit to being biased, but I thought he did well today. It wasn’t a game for forwards, given our set up and the tactics, but he and Saka worked hard getting up and down and covered our FBs very well. Hate to say it, but Martinelli might need a change of club, but regardless, I still think he’ll come good and his old attacking flair will return.

Timber was rock solid today. And the guy is hard as fucking nails.

Hopefully he can stay injury free for us because he’s nailed on first choice left back now.

And i'd be saying the exact same had it been any of ours, the scum player was drifting towards the ball and not pushing back against his man like he should have been. If he marked up the way he's supposed to gabriel wouldnt even have had the room to do anything with his arms or go anywhere, dont blame our good defender for the utter shiteness of yer own!!

How sweet was that! Gutsy performance and although the forwards weren't at their best, it was a day for sticking tight and seeing it out. Spent the whole of the 2nd half dreading Saliba picking up a 2nd yellow for something stupid and missing the Citeh game. Rice back for Partey and bring it on!

Jamie Redknapp and Paul Merson both believe Arsenal's Jurrien Timber was "lucky" and "fortunate" to stay on the pitch after his "reckless" challenge in the first half of the North London derby at Tottenham.

What a pair of muppets, If thats their level of red card then may as well just not play, for all of Porro's antics and screaming he seemed perfectly fine 2 minutes later and saw out the game.
