Have they still got that Argentine dick-wipe winger? They ain't got Mbappe so let's see how good they are outside their own shitty league.

2-0 the Arsenal.

Arteta says he will see how Calafiori and White are today before deciding if they will play tomorrow.

Arsenal training in front of the cameras this afternoon.

Finishing 24th is a trophy.

having spent so many years looking forward to us being back in the Champions League, I now can’t even be bothered to watch the matches. This league format has taken away any consequence of results in the first three or four games you play. Boring as hell.

Yeah they’ve fucked it like they did with the euros. The group stage of that was so boring I didn’t even bother watching with the intention of tuning in when it got to the knockout stages.

Problem with that was I became so disengaged with the tournament I then didn’t bother my arse with the knockouts and saw fuck all of the tournament.

There’s a danger the same thing will happen here over time. They’ve marketed it as more big games from the get go where the big boys meet each other but with zero jeopardy as everyone will qualify for the next round anyway then who gives a fuck? We could lose 10 nil tonight and still stroll into the next round in second gear.

UEFA are absolute c.unts motivated by nothing but greed. They couldn’t give a flying fuck about the game.

I think UEFA are hoping that people get excited about trying to finish in the top 8 of the league stage (which means direct entry into the last 16).

The question that the club needs to ask is this - do you really go for it and get that top 8 finish OR take it easy and be content with a top 24 finish, whilst focusing more on staying in contention in the league and taking the domestic cups more seriously. I would go for the latter but I fear Arteta is going for it in the CL and it will ultimately mean another trophyless season

Remember, it's not a European Super League. Definitely not that. Don't for a moment think that a league-like structure involving qualification criteria to enter, home and away matches and points, is in any way similar to a European Super League. If you think that, you're not a football supporter or something and rat-face Neville will shout at you or whatever. From his multi-million pound home whilst bankrolling his own club.
