Not just pointless tonight - it should NOT be going ahead at all.

A Greek player died yesterday - the Greek FA put in a request to postpone the match. UEFA refused their request. UEFA now getting loads of abuse on X. Ridiculous situation.

The thing is with Saka you can’t totally blame Carsley.
Arteta refuses to drop him for any match as well.
This injury was so inevitable -he just doesn’t stop playing, it’s ridiculous.

The greek player that died was baldock who played for sheffield united for the previous 7 seasons before signing for greek club in the summer :shock: :shock:

Arsenal have a lot to answer for tbh.
We have a great chance of winning the league this season, they need to be 'suggesting' to players that they sit out some of the lesser internationals. I understand if it's a world cup match but the fucking Johnstone paint nations league trophy ffs, it's a piss take competition.
Maybe the management tried but players like Saka and Rice said they wanted to play? We'll never know but things can't go on like this, there's too much at stake in club football for all these international borefests.
If Saka is out for a few weeks we're deep in the shit as we have fuck all creativity and some big big games coming up. :roll: :banghead:
