Saw on ssn that all the major leagues and unions are complaining to uefa and fifa about the amount of pointless international games, basically they're they're saying things need to change and they won't let up on changing the amount of games.TeeCee wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 9:55 pmArsenal have a lot to answer for tbh.
We have a great chance of winning the league this season, they need to be 'suggesting' to players that they sit out some of the lesser internationals. I understand if it's a world cup match but the fucking Johnstone paint nations league trophy ffs, it's a piss take competition.
Maybe the management tried but players like Saka and Rice said they wanted to play? We'll never know but things can't go on like this, there's too much at stake in club football for all these international borefests.
If Saka is out for a few weeks we're deep in the shit as we have fuck all creativity and some big big games coming up.![]()

I quite like him despite the hate he gets on here. Think he's a good manager.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 2:47 pmCould actually be quite a shrewd move for the FA and for him. I think Tuchel was likely the best manager England could expect to get right now, especially in October. While I'm far from his biggest fan, Tuchel has won major trophies, he's got the experience in England and he does have pretty good stock. No doubt he'll want to improve on his standing following his disappointing spell at Bayern, as well.
Time will tell, but I wish him well in the role, nonetheless.

I was against Brexit but even I’m in favour of having an English manager in charge of the England team.subtleasaheadbutt wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 5:28 amBrexit working right there.

Surely that should be the whole point of international football? Otherwise why not have Haaland brought into the England team ? He plays in this country after all…

Re: Other Matches Thread
As much as I just don't give a flying fuck about Interlull football I've always thought it ridiculous that "foreign" players and managers could qualify or be employed by FA's in different countries. And I'm saying that as an Oirishman whose best national team was managed by an Inglishman and stocked with Scots, Ingerlish and Welsh rejects!Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 6:48 amI was against Brexit but even I’m in favour of having an English manager in charge of the England team.subtleasaheadbutt wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 5:28 amBrexit working right there.

Watched 25 minutes of the first half of Fulham v the villains and ESR was absolute Pants... He looks overweight and when Fulham were breaking he was 10 yards behind the play and blowing a gasket

Watched most of that game and thought the same. Game seemed to pass him by, he was barely involved, and even though defending corners isn’t his role in the team he didn’t cover him in glory marking Watkins for their 2nd.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 3:41 pmWatched 25 minutes of the first half of Fulham v the villains and ESR was absolute Pants... 90 +5 for a city winner, it’s as sure as the sun comes up, with a bit of a var check to convince there’s no bias.
Whose the ref, why our old friend Chris Kavanagh of course, not a hope he was doing city out of points
