Listened to 20 minutes of the commentators sucking the cock off Villa only for them to concede a 96th minute equaliser

Got man of the match tonight and took his goal well tbf

I might be biased (not much  ) but smith-rowe was best player on pitch in second half until they took him off when they tried to close down the game (a mistake they paid for) - his run going by 3 everton players to set up lard arse's goal made me wish he was still an AFC player, but of course the cone boy knows best   :censored: Every time he gets on the ball he gets his team moving forward with pace - I always compare him to odeargod who still takes 6 touches of the ball before he moves it on, and contrast it to the quick thoughts and quick passing that smith-rowe brings to a team. He is miles better than odeargod and of that I have no doubt

Btw everton are absolute shite - how their fans can turn up week in and week out to watch the same one paced dour football is beyond me

And lost two points for them today , ESR and Iwobi were running the game .Everton were not in it until he took them off and tried to see the game out . Some times it's better to continue as you were going.

Not just looking for something to bash Arteta with, but this is something that he does consistently, as did Wenger before him.

We can be a goal up and controlling the game, with the lion’s share of possession and looking likely to add another goal, then with 15-20 mins left he’ll take off a couple of key creative/attacking players and puts on a couple of defensive players.

Net result, the entire structure of the game changes, we relinquish the initiative, can’t keep the ball, lose all threat and drop deeper towards our own goal. We’re then under constant pressure and end up clinging on by our fingertips as we have to repel wave after wave of attacks.

I’ve never understood why managers change things when they’re controlling the game and under no real pressure from the opposition. Still, I’ve not been 30 yrs in football.

Which is why it is Vital to have Like-for-like replacements/Subs, so that no momentum or drop in quality occurs when we are winning or in bossing the game...which is what Cheaty are able to do because of the Depth of Strength they have in all positions. Rhodri would be a Huge loss for any Team but the Ex-Chav with the Busted Nose; the sameCunt that tried to Maim Odegaard and got Fuck-All by the Cunty Ref... has stepped into that role; admittedly not quite as good, but with Rhodri arguably being the Best Midfielder in Europe that is understandable.

yes you are right when you say ESR imediately looks to move forward... he was impressive when he first broke into the team...but hard to compare these two as Odergaard is capable of sublime passing....basically different type of players....down to the manager who he prefers....that said i would have kept ESR as well

No idea how he did, because 80 per cent of what he touched he just lost possession. Terrible player.

No disagreement here buddy - watching him waddling his fat arse around the pitch at same time as brainless feo was running down blind alleys on the other wing, were deeply frustrating times for me

He took ESR off because he looked visibly tired but they conceded the equaliser thanks to some pretty terrible defending not because of the subs. They were wasteful and didn’t make their dominance count so it made sense to shore things up defensively. Unfortunately, their defenders went to bed at a crucial moment.
