KROENKE OUT / The Board / Staff etc (merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's either BFG or Piers Morgan. Take your pick. :barscarf:

In a more worrying development, I've just read something that has linked that lanky, back-turning, one-decent game ever, cowardly German, Mertesacker with the role. He's already involved with the youth set-up at the club and fits the dying days of Wanker ethos that the club seems hell-bent on recreating.
To paraphrase Cicero, the closer the collapse the process, the crazier it’s decisions are.

For the record our academy has started producing some real potential quality again so maybe BFG isnt the problem some like to paint him ? Reality is that those young players are not seeing chances in the first team under cone boy and are fcuking off to pastures new - cant blame mertesacker for that
Fair, but is that not then reason to leave Mertesacker with the academy?

Diet Pep will probably want him in an inverted role

I nearly said inverted position but that would just bring on thoughts that can't be unseen

My point was that some on here are rolling their eyes at prospect of BFG stepping into edu's role, while I am merely pointing out that he seems to be doing a good job as academy director so maybe deserves a bit more respect ?
What people are going to quickly find out is that (a) most of our transfer policy falls apart at el basque's feet cos the players he wants are not good enough, and the signings he doesnt choose wont get fair game time under him and (b) our academy prospects will have to be at messi's level to get a fair chance under cone boy cos he doesnt trust young players

Respect? Are you fucking kidding? This lanky streak of yellow piss is one of the most cowardly fucking bitches I've ever had the misfortune to watch ever. He could go on to fucking cure AIDS and cancer and to me he is still and always will be the giant fucking coward that regularly turned his back and cowered away from oppo shots on our goal. A complete fucking bluffer of a "man", playing like a bitch long long before the game became overpopulated with such cowards.

As for rolling my eyes? My fucking eyes used to want to blind themselves every time they had the misfortune to watch a millionaire shirk away from getting hit with a football that has the impact value of a slightly over inflated balloon.

🚨 Edu bid farewell to Arsenal in gathering of players & staff at training ground on Tuesday. 46yo to serve 6mnth notice period / gardening leave + Jason Ayto steps up on interim basis while #AFC conduct process to secure permanent successor @TheAthleticFC

I did question the other day how edu was just allowed to walk out the door at a days notice, so at least that clears that up. Personally the gardening leave thing is a load of bollox - agree compensation and move on instead of dragging it out

Faced with the difficult option of six months in Brazil on the beach and sitting by a swimming pool or going to Nottingham for meetings straight away, I know which one, I'd be happier to take.

Sitting on the beach in Brazil doesn't mean that he won't be in touch with his new employers as everybody working from home knows. My biggest worry is that the 15 year olds that look good will find their parents being tapped up before they get to signing up day .

Wow nerd alert. Edu has been given 6 months lying on copacabana beach and thinks he will be talking to his new bosses.
If he is on his phone he might as well post pick in the basement
