Sporting sphincters A Tue 26th Nov KO 8pm
Re: Sporting sphincters A Tue 26th Nov KO 8pm
Bar the opening 10 minutes of the 2nd half that was a seriously good performance, credit where it’s due!

Fantastic performance, so so good. Need to really get a run going and this will give us confidence

Great stuff tonight. Odegaard and Saka obviously stood out, but Timber had his best game for us and Saliba just superb against Europe’s most in form striker. And just to make it even better, his shot on target in the last five minutes that Raya touched on to the post, sealed a lovely £200 bet builder from a fiver! Get in there!

It was a real pleasure to watch that game. And to top off the night Cheaty were 3-0 up and ended up 3-3. Hahaha, what a great Tuesday.

I will not be watching on Tuesday.

Typical - the one match I don’t see this season we produce what sounds like a total masterclass

Was at a gig so still had a top night

Watched the full game on delay.
Overall a good performance away in Europe, scoring 5 away in Europe is bloody decent.
1st half was excellent, not sure what Diet Pep's half time talk was but I suspect it included phrases such as sit back and protect the lead, despite Sporting being well known for coming out hard after the break.
Timber looks like an upgrade on White at right back. He linked well with Saka and didn't ignore his defensive duties.
Odergard looed like he wanted to prove he was back, but there was times I felt he held on to the ball too long.
What this proves is that when everyone is fit and playing the 1st eleven can beat anyone, but also when one part of the jigsaw is missing we start to struggle.
Good attacking set pieces but defensively was a bit suspect with players switching off.
Onwards to the Shammers.

Im sat in a lounge in Lisbon airport plane spotting because thats what middle aged people do when they are hungover and have three hours to wait for a flight.
That aside I am revisiting my youth going away with Arsenal in Europe and isnt it a joyous experience.
Last night was one of the best Euripean away performances in decades.

1. No we don't. We sit quietly drinking the hangover away.nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 2:25 pmIm sat in a lounge in Lisbon airport plane spotting because thats what middle aged people do when they are hungover and have three hours to wait for a flight.

2. I loved each and every European away day I went on over the years. Something very special being in a new city with lots of fans and hopefully no arseholes out for violence.
3. That performance reminded me of the hiding we gave Milan away, an away day I missed and still regret not being at....

When we have most of the team fit and switched on, we are superb.

Our problem is squad depth and consistency.

The goal from Gabriel was a vulgar display of aerial power.
No one was stopping him getting to that ball

I was out last night and had forgotten all about the game until late morning today when I wondered if we were playing tonight or if we'd played last night!!
Looks like I missed a good 'un.
Thanks to OBG for the highlights.
