Underrated Arsenal players

Post by 26may1989 »

Am feeling a bit bored today, so how about this one to while away a few minutes: who is the most underrated Arsenal player (past or present)?

One to get the ball rolling: Ray Parlour.

Big Phil Senderos! Qaulity player with the height and strength to attack the ball in the air that people say we need. Lacks confidence and needs a run in the side to prove himself.

I don't expect anyone will agree but is my opinion.

Was Ray Parlour underated? I think most people rated him highly as a player, granted not a superstar like Overmars, Wright, Adams etc. but still highly rated. I think he is also rated as a person now as he still stands up for Arsenal everytime he is on the telly.

Paul Davis-never capped for England which was a disgrace, was the heartbeat of the midfield throughout the 80s, gave 100 percent every game...an Arsenal man through and through but never seems to get too much of a mention

Giles Grimandi, was crap at first but quietly became a solid and consistent player.

Good shout... Paul Davis wasn't even voted into the 50 greatest Arsenal players list on Arsenal.com, so he's certainly underrated!

F*ck it....Eboue  and yes he is underrated, because people on here think he's utter sh1te, whereas I just think he's not very good

Also...Gilles Grimandi; his versatility proved ever so useful, and his goal in a 1-0 win against Palace in '98, when we were struggling for 11 fit players, could well have played a major part in us winning the league!

On his day Thierry Henry was a decent player.
