I really liked how Tierney played. His pass for Sterling was right on the money.
He provides another option for the left wing.
I'd have taken up the option for another 12 months but would have negotiated a wage decrease
Yes he played well especially when one considers it was his first start & game proper for god knows how long... He's genuine lad and always gives 100%, But I think someone mentioned he was subbed because he had an impending problem (again)... Don't know how true that is.
Yes, his pass for sterling reminded me of just how good he can be.
Sadly yet another young very good player whose career has been blighted by injury... reminds me of Jack.

The cone boy said that he was taken off cos of fatigue/cramp so there was no injury involved
I was gonna ask on here how the regulars on here how they felt tierney did the other night - tbh I seen all the first half but only the last few minutes of the second half so wasnt in the best position to judge, and that is leaving out my personal belief in tierney as a player I thought that in the first half he was solid more than anything special, but he did give us more width going forward and that is a major issue for me for a long time under legohead. I know tierney's time with us is coming to an end now anyway, and I do agree that his injury record has played a part in that decision, but I also feel that under another manager he would have been a key player for us and would have been handled better, but c'est la vie I guess
Personally, with Ben White out, I would always play Timber at RB and Calafiori LB but Tierney would be my second choice LB.
I don't understand Arteta's obsession with inverting LB's, Tierney is very good on the overlap and by doing that he lets Martinelli go into the box more, like a couple of seasons ago when he scored 15 goals in the season.
Tierney can overlap, Timber can invert, best of both worlds!
