Saka has had surgery. Out for longer than “weeks”. Many months.
Mikel Arteta predicts “more than 2 months” on the sidelines for Bukayo Saka after having surgery on his hamstring.
I don't think he'll be back before Easter. Three months seems to be a decent recovery period for a hamstring tear and you can add another month when it comes to our players and injuries.

Chickens and roost all on the manager for overplaying him needlessly

Need to go bananas in the transfer window. This squad is as flat as Katona’s tits these days.

2nd in league
3rd in Europe

No demands from the emirates crowd for anymore - why would we buy anyone?

Sterling will be back soon apparently. That is bad news for our transfer hopes.

2-0 would’ve been a fair reflection
Sometimes you just take the points and move on.
I think Timber and Jesus are a yellow card away from suspension.
We needed more firepower before Saka’s injury so nothing’s changed. Must do business very early in Jan.

Away to Brentford followed by away to Brighton. We’ll be firmly in top 4 trophy mode after those 2. Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night.

I think we’ll win both.

Really the more you think about it the more gross mismanagement screams out at you every single time you look at this squad - how the fcuk can a club that spent almost £800m in less that 5 years be so thin in squad depth and especially when we only spent massive money on one player really, and 3 of the regular first 11 were already at the club before el basque was appointed ? :? Of course we still havent filled edu's position in the club, but I hope the first thing the new guy does is to question where is the value in the money spent and why have we bought so many players and moved them on with 18-24 months ? Last nights bench was full of cone boy signings and academy boy Nwanieri, and even though he bought them, he didnt trust any of them to be an upgrade last night on the diabolical odeargod or the anonymous trossard or the very average havertz - if the team was playing well last night you could maybe defend the lack of subs, but what kind of message does it send Nwanieri when he looks at players on the pitch being absolutely shit, and the manager still thinking that they would be better than him ?? We can moan about injuries but reality is that the vast majority injured are defenders and saka is the only attacker missing - how in one transfer window do we let so many attacking players leave and only fat chav reject sterling brought in ?? He is accumulating centre midfielders and full backs at record speed, and it seems no transfer window goes by without signing a keeper, but yet we dont even have one quality striker, and when saka is unavailable our game falls apart

Honestly heads should roll imo but we are a badly run club from the top down - we have given too much power to a manager that still doesnt believe that he needs a striker, and a guy who has yet to show the ability to build a squad capable of winning the big prizes (or any prizes for that matter)

We’ve built plenty of cover in defensive areas (we need it!) and in central midfield. However the wings, creative midfield and striker areas is paper thin. We also have goalie cover who can only play in Europe and in the FA Cup. Big error having such a big clear out in the Summer and not getting anyone decent back in. For ESR, Nelson, Nketiah, Vieira out we got Sterling on loan in. Criminal. We were already light!

Again £800m in 5years is not a lot of money.
United have spent more and the quality of their squad is nowhere near ours.
Chelsea have spent over £1.2bn in 2years.
Not every player you buy is going to be a hit and our return on transfers in recent years is one of the best in the league. We need 2/3 extra top quality to get us over the line. Some fans just love to complain for the sake of complaining.
