Rice must be injured. That's both our first choice corner takers missing. A huge loss.

I'm not sure this is the game to start both Nwaneri AND Merino

I'm still not sure what Merino's position is

I'll give Merino a bit more time as he hasn't played all that much, was he a replacement for Partey who they thought might have left in the summer :rubchin:

partey, jesus, merino not title winning players, as for martinelli i believe he can get back to a good level but his confidence looks drained...and TBH hes been shit for a long time now...trossard may look better coming off the bench....

Apparently there's some kind of sickness bug going around the squad
About the only way we'll be making any runs into the box.

Merino hasn't impressed so far that's true, but lads it's far too early to write him off. He might come good. Let's hope so.

Now, before I'm completely misquoted, no I'm not saying he is brilliant and no I'm not saying he is shit. We have not seen enough of him on the pitch regularly to make that call.

Anyhow I'm looking forward to the game, I'm still drying out after walking the dog, dry Janis out the window, just poured a generous wine :cake: :gayflag:

trouble is hes at the Arsenal.....18 appearances so far and pressure is on and he has to produce.....competing with partey for a midfield spot someone who should be nowhere near our first team....

Yep true. I'd drop Carpark-Foot Partey and give the shirt to Merino and see if he can make it his. Partey has shown what he has. Which is nothing.
