Brentford bulbeyes A Weds Jan 1st KO 1730

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Good to see us comfortably in front and defending the way Brentford were doing to us when they were 1-0 up. Don't look so fucking dangerous now do they? Fuck 'em.

Yeah I know, I've just jinxed it.
They're not a good side at all. Poor players who just hoof it and charge after it. They'll be down in the next couple of years. Very much a Stoke, Bolton, Hull type of team.

The pace has disappeared again, is that being instructed since we went 2 up??

It seems slightly counter productive to ease off on the pace that had their heads spinning
You can't do that all game mate, even after the third we were going for it.

No need to leave ourselves open, we did that first half.

His first batch of subs were nothing if not predictable - I had to go lock up here and said to my son that Nwanieri, calafiori and martinelli would be subbed, and when I came back I was told 2 out of 3 aint bad 8) Nwanieri needs game time and personally I would have left him on for the 90 and subbed odeargod earlier

Man of the match for me too 8)

I know there is a media wankathon for van dijk, but saliba is miles ahead of him imo as best centre back in the league

It’s a win and 3 points, it’ll be nice if we can take the game to Brighton at the weekend and not concede early from one of their first attempts.

If we could get out of that habit we’d take more points out of games like Fulham etc
