27 year old fullback keen on the move, talks continue to reach full agreement.

C.unt has had five seasons to get a quality striker in (especially the last two) and has failed to recognise it - I wont listen to any bollox from him about how hard it is to do transfers in January now

Btw, I'll bet the clubs around us will be able to get signings in this month
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I'll be gutted if Yahnited somehow manage to swap that useless piece of shit Rashford for Osimhen, that would hurt!
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Yes, exactly that. Rather than fucking about haggling you put down the release fee in full and the current club can’t stand in the way of a transfer happening.Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 7:38 pmI never understand what these fucking clauses are all about. If you agree to pay the release clause, does that mean you get the player at that price as long as you can agree the infamous 'personal terms'?Limerick Gooner wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 6:40 pmHave you seen we are going to activate Nico Williams’ release clause?![]()
Of course, most clubs don’t usually have £100m in cash laying about so the reality is that release clauses are pointless as the clubs have to negotiate on payment terms etc anyway

Thanks, Ralph. Somehow we'll manage to bugger it all up and the bloke will be at the chavs by the end of the month.Kingralph wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 2:39 pmYes, exactly that. Arsenal interested in Matheus Cunha but Wolves are working to sign the forward to a new contract. Transfer difficult this month with Wolves desperate to keep the forward. With @TomCollomosse
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
He'd be an exciting prospect if we can sign him. He has a two game ban coming up but with our fixtures it'd done in no time.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 5:18 pmArsenal interested in Matheus Cunha but Wolves are working to sign the forward to a new contract. I like him as a player. Fingers crossed. Cmon Arsenal, sort it.

If it did happen could possibly take a few weeks so he'd serve out his suspension while still a wolves player

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I'm surprised Arteta is interested given his recent disciplinary woes.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 5:18 pmArsenal interested in Matheus Cunha but Wolves are working to sign the forward to a new contract. Wolves would be mad to let him go mid-season

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Yep. Every indication is that Arteta still believes HayShoes is the answer. He ain't. His entire career shows us he is a second striker at best with never getting over 20 league goals a season. He is usually in the single figures and once got 14.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 12:33 pmMikel Arteta on new signings: “The market in January is much more limited than the one in the summer”.

Luke is on the job.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
We've been stongly linked with Cunha from Wolves and I won't be surprised if this is wrapped up next week given growing injury list.
On an unrelated note, both Partey or Jorginho are out of contract in the summer and it would be interesting to see how the situation is resolved. If both leave, we need to bring in box to box midfielder and a creative spark. I would also seriously look at Odegaard's position. His numbers are not good enough for a number 10 and needs serious competition for the spot.

I'm shocked we aren't in for Rashford. Arteta has one pet project going in Havertz, why not have another in Rashford
